Objective:To build up the continuous nursing patterns and to explore the intervention effect of continuous nursing on self-management, self-efficacy and quality of life in patients after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).Method:This study was a descriptive and a quasi-experiment design. The continuous nursing patterns were determined through the literature search, combined with interviews and consultation with experts. Using random cluster sampling method, From March 2014 to September 2014,110 coronary heart disease (CHD) patients after PCI were investigated in a hospital of Rizhao. Data were collected using questionnaires in survey research, the baseline evaluation was performed to describe the level of self-management, self-efficacy and the quality of life of the patients.110 subjects admitted were randomly assigned into experimental group and control group by the number of operation number. Patients in the experimental group were given continuous nursing and routine nursing, patients in the control group received routine nursing only. The duration of intervention was 3 months. The Scale of Self-management, Self-Efficacy Scale, Seattle Angina Questionnaire were used before the intervention (Vbase), immediately after the intervention (VO) and 3 months after the intervention (V3) respectively to measure the level of self-management, self-efficacy and quality of life of patients after PCI, in order to observe intervention effects.Result:(1) The self-management, self-efficacy and quality of life scores of the intervention group at the moment (VO) and 3 months after the intervention (V3) were higher than that of before the intervention (P< 0.05); the scores of self-management, self-efficacy and quality of life of control group at the moment after intervention (VO) and 3 months after routing nursing (V3) were not significant higher than before (P>0.05). (2) Before the intervention, there were no significant differences in scores of self-management, self-efficacy and quality of life between the experimental group and the control group (P> 0.05); the scores of self-management, self-efficacy and quality of life of experimental group at moment after intervention and 3 months after the intervention were significant higher than the control group (P< 0.05).Conclusion:Continuous nursing patterns established by the researcher can improve the level of self-management, self-efficacy and quality of life of patients after PCI.
