Objectives:To assess the quality of life and the degree of continuous health knowledge aboutinpatients with acute coronary syndrome. To explore the effect taken by health education on the diseasesabout cognitive level and in patients with acute coronary syndrome after percutaneous coronaryintervention,to provide a reasonable and reliable intervention instrument to treat acute coronary syndromepatients and improve their quality of life. Methods:This study is descriptive study.120cases were Selected from2011October to2012year in June in Department of Cardiology, Stroke from one hospital of department of Cardiology whichdiagnosed with acute coronary syndrome by coronary angiography and successfully received PCItherapy,They were divided into the observation group and the control group randomly. The method ofquestionnaire was used to collect data. There are five parts in the questionnaires. The first is about thecommon status in the demography and the personal disease material, the demography such as gender, age, education level, marital status and so on, the history material including diagnosis, prococs of disease, pastmedical history, cardiac function class,Coronary artery stenosis count, the number of stent implantation etc.Two groups of patients had the same medical treatment and nursing methods generally duringhospitalization. The control group received routine care and medicine treatment, while the observationgroup received routine care, health education and telephone communication. All patients were respectivelybefore and after the intervention for6months to receive health education knowledge assessmentquestionnaire and quality of life scale survey.SPSS17.0package was conducted to entry andanalyze.general data and clinical data were analyzed by chi-square test, and the quality of life, healthknowledge assessment by independent samples t-test, P<0.05with significant difference.Results:1.No statistically significant difference between the two groups of patients with general information and the disease material.2.There are no significant difference was found in each SF-36scale between two the observationgroup and the control group (P>0.05);It is indicated that the score difference of patient’s SF-36scale was statistically significant(P<0.001);speciall in general health (80.31±1.71,41.948.09).mental health(89.63±3.82,67.14±7.50),vitality(93.47±3.85,55.51±6.87),social functional (71.4±14.14,60.31±±6.14),role-emotion.(99.00±0.00,50.51±25.30),P<0.001.3.There are no significant difference was found in each patients with diseases of healthknowledge cognition scale between two the observation group and the control group (P>0.05);There was astatistically meaning in the score of diseases of cognitive level with in the intervention group and controlgroup(P<0.001).In the Intervention group, the health knowledge score before the education(15.65±1.45)wasSignificant lower than that after the education (25.94±0.43),P<0.001.the control group before and after PCIhealth knowledge score itself no statistically significance (P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Continuous health education is helpful to improve the quality of life and health knowledge ofpatients with acute coronary syndrome PCI postoperative.2.After the Continuous health education intervention the patients can obviously master the acutecoronary syndrome PCI postoperative patients’ health knowledge.
