ObjectiveAlthough there is a lot of studies about acupuncture in treatment of postherpetic neuralgia clinical, these studies have the same experimental design is unreasonable, inconsistent diagnostic criteria, efficacy evaluation standard is not agreement, the lack of randomized and control.This issue is under the guidance of evidence based medicine, acupuncture and moxibustion treat postherpetic neuralgia is comprehensive evaluated by using the system evaluation and meta analysis, as well as existing problems, scientific assessment of the overall level of research quality, and acupuncture treat the disease with unique advantages.
