Clinical Study Of Jianpihuashi Prscription In Treatment For Spleen Deficiency And Dampness Of Diarrhea Type Irritable Bowelsyndrome

1 ObjectiveThe purpose of this project is to observe the clinical curative effect of Jianpi Huashi prescription in treating spleen deficiency and dampness syndrome of diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome(IBS-D) and the change of quality in life for patients before and after treatment.To evaluate the clinical efficacy,the scores of symptom severity of IBS(IBS-SSS),integrals table of symptom, irritable bowel syndrome quality of life questionnaire(IBS-SSS),self rating depression scale(SDS) and self rating anxiety scale(SAS) were compared pre-therapy,post-treatment and after treatment for third month.2 Methods60 IBS-D patients that meet the diagnostic criteria of Rome III and TCM of spleen deficiency and dampness syndrome were divided into the treatment group for30 cases and the control group for 30 cases with randomly.The control group was given Pinaverium Bromide Tablets and Combined Clostridium Butyricum and Bifidobacterium orally while the treatment group was given Jian Pi Hua Shi decoction.With treatment for one month,observerd scores varieties of IBS-SSS,symptom integral table, IBS-QOL, SDS and SAS in pre-therapy, post-treatment and after treatment for third month.3 Results3.1 With treatment for one month, the scores of IBS-SSS in two groups were lower than before treatment(P<0.01).After treatment and follow-up for three monthes,The IBS-SSS scores of the treatment group were lower than the control group,which expressed that treatment group had a significant effect in improving the symptoms.3.2 After treatment,symptom total scores in two groups were more decreased than before treatment(P<0.01).Symptom total scores of the treatment group were lower than the control group in post-treatment and after treatment for third month.The effective rate of treatment group was 83%, better than the control group of 60%,which expressed that treatment group had a significant effect in improving the symptoms.3.3 After treatment,irritable bowel syndrome quality of life questionnaire scores in two groups were lower than before treatment.The treatment group was better than the control group in DY,IN after the treatment and in DY,IN,BI after 3 months of follow-up.3.4 After treatment,SAS scores of two groups were reduced in different degrees,that the difference in pre-therapy and post-treatment had statistical significance(P<0.01 or P<0.05).But the difference had no statistically significant between two groups.Follow up for third months,SAS scores of two groups were decreased than before treatment that the difference was not statistically significant.While the difference had statistical significance between two groups(P<0.05).3.5 After treatment,SDS scores of two groups were reduced in different degrees,that the difference in pre-therapy and post-treatment had statistical significance(P<0.01 or P<0.05).There also had statistical significance of the difference between two group.Follow up of third months,SDS scores of two groups were decreased than before treatment that the difference of treatment group had statistically significant in in pre-therapy and post-treatment,but the control group was not.While the difference had statistical significance between two groups(P<0.05).4 ConclusionIt can effectively relieve the clinical symptoms, improve the quality of life and mental state of patients with Jianpi Huashi prescription in treating spleen deficiency and dampness syndrome of IBS-D. And the long-term curative effect was significant.
