ObjectiveTo further evaluate the system’s mechanism of action and efficacy of one finger pushing and pulling method on KOA pain and to improve joint dysfunction of KOA.MethodsIn this study, sixty patients with KOA from the Massage Clinic of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of TCM were divided into 2 groups consisting of massage group (treatment group,30cases) and drug group(control group,30cases) according to the time of visit. Diagnostic criterion-referenced American Rheumatism Association 1995 revised "knee osteoarthritis classification standards" and referring to the Chinese Medical Association of Rheumatology 2002 credits will be to develop a "osteoarthritis treatment guidelines" WOMAC assessed using a visual analog scale tables and table (VAS) for efficacy objective evaluation. Using SPSS19.0 statistical software package for data entry and analysis.Results1, the two groups in overall clinical efficacy was statistically significant (P<0.05) comparison, the total efficiency of the treatment group were 96.33%,89.65% in the control group, indicating that the effect of two treatment programs are good, but the treatment group The total effective rate was significantly higher.2, the two groups before treatment WOMAC scale score was not statistically significant, the difference is not obvious, so the two groups were comparable; WOMAC scale score was statistically significant comparison between the treatment group and the control group (P<0.05), there is a significant difference, and WOMAC scale score after treatment than before treatment generally lower, indicating that the two regimens have a good effect, but the effect of the treatment group than the control treatment group.3, in terms of the visual analog scale (VAS) comparison scores before treatment groups was not statistically significant, comparable, scores between the two groups after treatment was not statistically significant (P greater than 0.05), indicating that relieve pain the treatment group and the control group did not differ significantly.ConclusionBoth one finger pushing and pulling method and oral tablets of diclofenac sodium (Voltaren) can make the WOMAC and VAS score significantly lower. Two kinds of treatment for KOA has a good effect. But in the treatment group, WOMAC score improvement rate and total effective rate are better than the control group. VAS score improvement is insignificant. The study of this paper indicates that one finger pushing, pulling method can stop pain and improve joint’s dysfunction of KOA.
