The Retrospective Study Of Clinical Efficacy Of Autologous Fat Grafting And Combined With Local Flap In Reconstructing Upper Lip Defect Following Hemangioma Treatment

Objective: To explore the clinical methodology and effects of autologous fat grafting and combined with local flap in reconstructing upper lip defect following hemangioma treatment, discuss the advantages and disadvantages. To provide the reference for the clinical treatment.Methods:Select 11 patients with upper lip defect following hemangioma treatment in the 15th Department of Plastic Surgery Hospital, CAMS PUMC from 2006 July to 2014 May completed to be object of observation. One or two autologous fat grafting according to degree, size and location of defects and the survival rate of transplanted fat. The red lips under correction part combined with local flap to repair among 4 severe patients. To observe the preoperative and postoperative appearance and function of the lips, comparison between the affected side and the healthy side, the fat survival rate, the survival of flap, patients satisfaction, postoperative complications and the recent and long-term clinical effect.Result:In the eleven patients,7 cases of mild deformity were treated by fat grafting only,3 cases received 1 injections and 4 cases were received 2 injection; 4 cases of severe deformity patients were treated with local tissue flap after autologous fat grafting (2 cases received 1 injections,2 cases were received 2 injection), then 11 patients were followed up, follow-up time was 1-9 years, mean 5.73 months, no severe complications and showed satisfactory results.Conclusion:For the patients underwent mild upper lip defect following hemangioma treatment, lip soft tissues can increased by autologous fat transplantation and the red lips under correction part could repaired by local flaps to the severe patients. This kind of combined surgical method is simple and gaind a satisfactory lip appearance and function.
