Object According to the questionnaire survey about the applied psychological scale of patients with rheumatoid arthritis in the traditional Chinese medicine of Chongqing Southwest Hospital who are suffering from the anxiety, quality of life and depression. Understanding and evaluating the psychological status of patients with rheumatoid arthritis in Chongqing area, making clear the necessary of psychological intervention in the patients with rheumatoid arthritis. To analyze the basic demographic data and clinical data of patients with rheumatoid arthritis, to discuss the influence of the various factors of the anxiety, quality of life and depression. Then to provide better guidance about the project of the effective, reasonable and feasible treatment for the clinical medical personnel, and to offer the theoretical foundation of establishing research about the psychosomatic medical treatment mode of patients with RA to some extent. Methods This research is taking 127 cases of patients with RA got treatment from May 2014 to January 2015 in traditional Chinese medicine of Chongqing Southwest Hospital as the main study object. To collect demographic data information of patients with RA(such as age, gender, household income, work, marriage, payment of medical expenses, health condition of spouse and children and so on). To collect the relevant clinical data and objective examination indicators (such as the course of disease, disease activity, blood routine examination and biochemical indicators, clinical specialist on examination, joint function of patients and so on). To evaluate the psychological status of patients with rheumatoid arthritis according to the psychological questionnaire(SAS, SF-36). All these scales are measured under the guidance of the doctors and nurses who have been trained.Using epidemiological data entry software EPI ifo 3.5.1 version to entry consequence and data of all the scales. Double-check against entry and inspecting the result, the third party will re-check the inconsistent data. Taking advantage of Spss 22.0 software to establish database, and according to the frequency of the regular and descriptive statistic analysis, compare means(T test analysis, ANOVA analysis), correlation analysis(Pearson correlation regression analysis, multiple linear step-wise regression analysis, Logsitc correlation regression analysis) to analyze patients data. Results 1.The mean value of anxiety level in 102 cases of patients with RA is 50.91, and the mean value of depression level is 47.84. This value of anxiety level of female patients with RA is remarkable higher than the male’s(t=-2.45,p<0.05), and there is no statistical differences between these two groups(t=-0.42, p>0.05).The anxiety level (F=0.16, p>0.05) and depression level (F=0.038, p>0.05) in different income of patients with RA do not occur with remarkable differences. There is no statistical differences in different depression level in different educational levels of patients with RA(F=1.36,P>0.05). On the contrary, the anxiety level exists significant differences(F=7.18,P<0.001). The anxiety level (F=1.105,P>0.05) and depression level (F=0.734,P>0.05) in different professions of patients with RA do not occur with remarkable differences.2.The mean value of the PF(physical functioning) of patients with RA is 45.59 RP, and the mean value of the physiological function) of patients with RA is 53.43, the mean value of the BP(bodily pain is 40.31, the mean value of the GH(general health) is 54.93, the mean value of the vigor is 49.80, the mean value of the SF(social function) is 62.38, the mean value of the EF(emotional function) is 48.64, the mean value of the MH(mental function) is 52.75. The score of the overall quality of life in male patients with RA is 53.02±5.13, the score of the female patients is 50.69±5.60, there is no statistical differences between these two groups (t=-3.831, P>0.05). The score of the GH(general health) in male (45.77±8.33) patients with RA is obviously lower than in female (56.27±13.92) patients(t=-3.831, p<0.001). The score of the MH(mental function) in male (62.15±16.86) patients with RA is obviously lower than in female (51.37±18.14) patients(t=2.019, p<0.05). The different income of patients with RA only exist dramatic differences in the fractal of MH(mental function) (F=3.938,p<0.05). And there is no statistical differences in different depression level indifferent educational level and different professions of patients with RA in the dimension of quality of life.3. we can find a negative correlation between anxiety level and social function (r=-0.184,p<0.05). Likewise, there is a negative correlation between depression level and vigor (r=-0.198, p<0.05), anxiety level and quality of life (r=-0.356,p<0.01) depression level and quality of life. Nevertheless, there is no remarkable differences between anxiety level or depression level and other dimensions of quality of life (P>0.05)4. The anxiety level and depression level of patients with RA both have a conspicuous predictive effect on the quality of life, these two variables explain 17.7% of the quality of life. Anxiety shares the most negative predictive effect(β=-0.361, t=-3.810, p<0.001, △R2=0.118), explain 11.8% of the quality of life. Depression has obviously negative predictive effect on the quality of life(β=-0.258, t=-2.858, p<0.001, △R2=0.059), explain 5.9% of the quality of life.Conclusion:1. The mean value of anxiety level of patients with RA is a little higher than the normal standard, and there is widespread anxious patients.2. The scores of depression of patients with RA are all at normal levels, and we cannot find generally significant depression in patients.3. There is no differences in different income and professions of patient about anxiety level and depression level.4. The anxiety level of female patients is significant higher than the male patients. However there is no statistical differences of depression level between these two groups.5. The anxiety level of the low educational level is remarkable higher than the high educational level, There is no statistical differences in different depression level in different educational levels of patients with RA.6. The quality of life of the patients with RA significantly reduce.7. The self-health status of male patients is worse than the female patients. But their mental health status is better than female patients.8. The higher depression of patients with RA, the worse vigor of them.9. It shows that lower anxiety level and lower depression level help improve the quality of life.
