Objective: This theory is aimed to discuss the functional mechanism of migraine treatment with this method through clinical observing clinical effect in treating migraine by neck acupuncture treatment, and influence to average blood velocity of ACA、MCA and PCA. Methods: 60 examples are randomly divided into treatment group and matched group(Routine acupuncture group), 30 examples in each group, once in each day and 5 times in one treatment course. 2 days between each treatment course, four courses in total. VAS score, total score of headache symptoms, immediate analgesia efficacy, overall response and test index of TCD were analyzed with statistic method. Results:(1) Before the first treatment: compared two groups’ VAS score, without statistical significance(P﹥0.05). When the first treatment finished: by comparison of every item two type showed statistical difference in VAS score(P﹤0.01); After treatment, the difference between two groups in VAS score was statistically significant(P﹤0.05).(2) Immediate analgesia efficacy: compared the immediate analgesia efficacy of two groups, there is statistically significant(P﹥0.05).(3) Before the first treatment: compared the total score of two groups in headache symptoms, without statistical significance(P﹥0.05);After 4 treatment courses, by comparison of every item two type showed outstanding statistical difference(P﹤0.01);After treatment, the difference of total scores between two groups in headache symptoms was statistically significant(P﹤0.05).(4)Total effect comparison: effective rate of treatment group is 90%; effective rate of matched group is 76.67%; There was a statistically significant difference(P﹤0.05).(5)Comparison of two groups in TCD test index : before treatment, compared the average brain blood velocity of two groups, without statistically significance(P﹥0.05); After 4 treatment courses, by comparison of every item two type showed outstanding statistical difference s in the average blood velocity of ACA and MCA(P﹤0.01),compared PCA of two groups, without statistically significance(P﹥0.05);After treatment, there is significant difference between two groups in the average blood velocity of ACA and MCA(P﹤0.01), there is no significant difference between two groups in PCA(P﹥0.05). Conclusion:(1)The results show that: Both neck acupuncture treatment and routine acupuncture can reduce VAS score of migraineur and total score of headaches; compared with routine acupuncture, neck acupuncture treatment is more effective than routine acupuncture in reducing VAS score and total score of headaches;(2) Neck acupuncture treatment is more effective than routine acupuncture both in immediate analgesia efficacy and in overall response efficacy.(3)Both neck acupuncture treatment combined with syndrome differentiation acupuncture and routine acupuncture are effective in improving average blood velocity of ACA、MCA,but not significant to PCA. Compared with routine acupuncture, neck acupuncture treatment combined with syndrome differentiation acupuncture is more effective in improving average blood velocity of ACA、MCA.In improving the average blood velocity of PCA, the effects of neck acupuncture treatment combined with syndrome differentiation acupuncture equals to routine acupuncture.(4)From the results of migraine treatment by neck acupuncture treatment, this method may relieve mascular tension and the sympathetic never; improve vasomotoricity of intracranil arteries and adjust the brain blood velocity.
