Objective: To obtain some objective, feasible diagnosis index for screening and early diagnosing of MCI by analyzing blood lipid and thyroid hormones in normal elderly people with elderly people suffering mild cognitive impairment. Methods:Detected lipid and thyroid hormone levels in 31 normal elder man and 31 MCI patients and analyzed the result.Results:FT3, FT4, triglycerides and LDL in elderly male patients with MCI were statistically significant(FT3 F=4.138,p=0.046,FT4 F=4.761,P=0.041, triglycerides F=7.79,P=0.010, LDL F=8.080,P=0.008). FT3 and Mo CA scores were related(r=0.477,P =0.025). Triglycerides and Mo CA scores were related(r=0.404,P =0.030). FT4 was negatively related to the Mo CA scores(r=-0.493,P =0.020).LDL was negatively related to the Mo CA scores(r=-0.515,P =0.004).Triglycerides,LDL and LP(a) in elderly female patients with MCI were statistically significant(triglycerides F=5.816,P=0.022,LDL F=5.194,P=0.030,LP(a) F=5.763, P=0.023). Triglycerides was negatively related to the Mo CA scores(r=-0.339,P=0.022).LP(a) and Mo CA scores were related(r=0.378,P =0.030).Conclusion:FT3, FT4, triglycerides, LDL and LP(a) is related to cognitive decline in the aged population. Detection of these indicators could be used as secondary screening and early diagnosing of MCI.
