Nature-human corresponding penetrates into Huangdi Neijing deeply. Human beings originates from the nature, and in turn, goes back to the nature. Therefore, the whole procedures of the life, including birth, aging, disease, death are all affected by the variation of seasons. Nature-human corresponding is the basic theories used to guide prevention, diagnosis, treatment of TCM. The variation of seasons affects the condition of yinyang of the organs in the body, which consequently affects the physiology and pathology of the human body, especially the organs’. Guided by the saying in TCM that “The spleen assists the defending function.”,“The spleen protects other organs.” “Wei qi has the function of defending”, this paper discussed the effect of seasonal variation on the immune cytokines related with the spleen, and the mechanisms involved to provide theoretical basis and clinical experiences.Objective: to observe the effects of seasonal variation on the immune cytokines related with the spleen, and the mechanisms involved to provide theoretical basis and clinical experiences.Methods: SD rats(male,180-200g) were purchased from the animal center, Hebei medical university 14 days before each time point, and were divided into 4 groups(spring equinox, summer solstice, autumn equinox, winter solstice, 10 for each group).The rats were feed by ordinary food under natural temperature and sunshine, and killed by dissecting the heads 9:00--11:00 am. 1/3 of the spleen was taken on the ice, and teared by eye scissors. IL-1, IL-2, IL-6 were tested by radioimmunoassay and IL-10 was tested by ELISA.Results:1IL-1 in the winter group are significantly lower than that in summer group, and show no difference between spring and autumn.2 IL-2 in the winter group are significantly lower than that in summer group, and show no difference between spring and autumn.3 IL-6 in the winter group are significantly lower than that in summer group, and show no difference between spring and autumn.4IL-10 in the winter group is significantly higher than that in summer group, ans showed on difference between spring and autumn.5TNF-α in the 4 groups showed no significance.Conclusion:1 IL-1, IL-2, IL-6 in the winter group are significantly lower than that in summer group, and show no difference between spring and autumn(P<0.05).IL-10 in the winter group is significantly higher than that in summer group, ans showed on difference between spring and autumn(P<0.05).TNF-α in the 4 groups showed no significance. The results above showed that the immune cytokines are low in winter, which, to some extent, witnessed the seasonal variation of defensive qi. At the same time, the results provided material basis for the rhythmical variation, and can guide the clinical prevention, diagnosis and treatment of seasonal diseases.2 The results showed that the cytokines change according to the variation of seasons, which witnessed the scientificity of Nature-human corresponding in TCM.
