The scale hospital is enlarging with the development of society and economy, theoperation cost is also increasing. Currently, there is problems of hospital large costconsumption, medical recourse low utilization, as well as the price level is relative high,and material consumption increases, which leads to a series of cost control andmanagement problem during the pursuit of scale and profitability and hospitals can notto meet the needs of market economy any more. In order to face the current fiercecompetition in the medical care market, to improve hospital management and economicefficiency by comprehensive cost accounting is the inevitable trend of hospital to adaptto market economy development. Therefore, it’s very important to build complete andreasonable cost management system.Under the background of socialist market economy and health care reformdeepening, this paper uses literature research, investigation, analysis and other researchmethods to proceed study of A hospital as example in terms of the cost managementstudy. This paper begins with the main problems of A hospital in cost management, suchas indifference of hospital cost management concept, cost control is often a mereformality, the lack of scientific and standardized cost management methodology,unfocused cost management, unreasonable cost management organizational structure,the lack of perfect performance evaluation system and so on. Secondly, the formulationof A hospital cost management system on the basis of project management model basictheory, based on the comprehensive cost management as the general idea, and focus onbudget control, combine with measures of locating critical control points and task breakdown. Then, conduct in-depth analysis of cost management system application in A hospital and the results, compare the operation before and after to propose the issuesthat need pay attention during implementation process. Finally, to improve the hospitalcost management problems, suggestions and countermeasures is proposed in terms ofimproving the understanding of hospital cost management, perfect the hospital internalresponsibility, pay attention to combination of cost estimate and cost objectives,promote the management of hospital hidden costs, strength hospital sector collaboration,and reinforce hospital cost supervision and so on. This paper carries on analysis of Ahospital cost management, hope to bring reference values in area of hospital costmanagement.
