Firstly the paper introduces the current research status of Selective Laser Sintering(SLS)equipment and application of SLS in medical field at home and abroad.Then improve thepreheating system and powder system of SLS device.Then obtain the3D model of tibialgaske parts with PRO/E and scanner.Finally verify the rationality of equipment improvementand part design by processing polypropylene complex parts.The main contents are included.(1) Basic research on the formation of SLS. Study on the relationship betweenpower and the actual percentage of internal laser power value,and the value comparison ofhand-held infrared thermometer and thermostat, correction of optical system, the powderspreading device was improved, the design limit and forming limit of thin wallpart, research on PP basic parameters, laying the foundation for the research of UHMWPEtechnology.(2) Study on improvement of SLS heating device: firstly, points out the existingproblems of the heating system of molding machine, and then improve the heating systemfrom the determination of preheating range, selection of preheating element, structure designand control system of the heating device. And finally establish the mathematical model andverify the degree of uniformity of the temperature by experiment.(3) Study on the process and properties of UHMWPE. The density of UHMWPEparts, mainly from the different scanning spacing effect on the density and different scanningspeed scanning space of density; The warpage of molded parts, mainly from the differentscanning speed scanning distance of the influence on the warpage, different processingsequence hem placed location effect on the warpage, different shape effect on the warpageand support optimized warping deformation; the size precision, the theoreticalanalysis of processing error effect on SLS prototyping accuracy, the effects of P/Vvalue under the influence of the scanning interval deviation of X, Y, Z axis size; Research onmechanical properties, mainly from the laser power effect on the tensile strength, elongation at break and yield strength under different scanning spacing, finanlly improve mechanicalproperties of molded parts by the means of heat treatment.(4) Design and manufacture of the tibial gasket based on selective laser sintering.First, analyze the data of tibial prosthesis standard gasket,get the data directly for linearrelationship; the tibial gasket inside and outside and inside larger, a total of20cases ofProe design, and improve the surface using the suture method of surface materialized,reversedesign on the tibial gasket, introduces the process of Geomagic reverse design. Introducesthe model of Magic processing, generation of scanning path, the optimization of processparameters in the molding machine SLS forming PP, UHMWPE tibial gasket, goodmatch with the tibial tray, by parts performance test comparison with molding UHMWPEperformance.
