Objective:To discuss the feasibility of the PRF+coralline hydroxyapatite composite on instant site preservation techniques in anterior extraction sockets. Methods:6healthy beagle dogs were randomly divided into3groups as experimental subject. PRF+coralline hydroxyapatite composite was immediately implanted into group A once the extraction of both the maxillary incisors was completed. Coralline hydroxyapatite was implanted into group B and group C were left to heal naturally. All experimental animals were sacrificed after4and12weeks to prepare tissue samples and by morphological measurements, histological observation and photographs of CBCT to evaluate the healing of extraction socket. Result:Vernier caliper observation:After4weeks and12weeks, the labial-lingual alveolar ridge width difference of the three groups obvious differences, the labial-lingual width difference was smaller in group A; General observation:At4weeks and12weeks extraction area bone reabsorption A<B<C, the alveolar ridge contour of group A fullness was better than group B and group C; CBCT observation:The tooth extraction of group A in different periods CT values were higher than group B group C (P<0.05). Histological observation:At4weeks the quantity and quality of new bone in group A, was significantly denser and superior in health to that of B and C. At12weeks new bone structure in group A, was superior in quality to that of B and C, bone regeneration was more significant than that of B and C. Conclusion:PRF+coralline hydroxyapatite composite is a better new bone graft material, which can reduce the absorption of the alveolar ridge, promote new bone formation, and preserve the socket site.
