Clinical Research On Chinese Medicine Of Eliminating Phlegm And Danmpness Combined With Point Embedding Therapy In Treating Insulin Resistance Of Obese Women With Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Objective:Through this clinical research, to observe the effect of chinese medicine of eliminating phlegm and danmpness combined with point embedding therapy on insulin resistance in obese polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).Methods:Collect phelgm-dampness type of women with PCOS and IR patients,and randomly divised into three groups:the chinese medcine combined with point embedding therapy group,the chinese medicine group and point embedding therapy group,for three months of each therapy. Before and after the treatment, contrast the menstruation,TCM syndrome scores,weight loss, body mass index (BMI), waist-hip ratio (WHR), hairy signs,acne score,serum luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), LH/FSH, testosterone (T), fasting plasma glucose (FPG), fasting insulin (FINS) level and insulin sensitivity index(ISI) and basal body temperature (BBT) during the treatment.Results:(1) The markedly efficacy between the combined group and the chinese medicine group,the combined group and point embedding therapy group are significantly different(P<0.05),but there is no significant difference between the chinese medicine group and point embedding therapy group (P>0.05).The effective rate is significantly different between the combined group and point embedding therapy group(P<0.05).But there are no significant difference between the combined group and the chinese medicine group,chinese medicine group and point embedding therapy group (P>0.05). Three groups could significantly decrease the TCM syndrome scores(P<0.05). There are significant difference between the combined group and the chinese medicine group,the combined group and point embedding therapy group(P<0.05). There is significant difference between the chinese medicine group and point embedding therapy group (P<0.05).(2) The combined group significantly improved the menstrual cycle of fhe patients(P<0.05), the efficacy is no significant difference of chinese medicine group and point embedding therapy group before and after treatment(P>0.05). The efficacy of the combined group is better than another two groups(P<0.05),but there is no significant difference between the chinese medicine group and point embedding therapy group (P>0.05). Three groups significantly improved the sign of acne(P<0.05).There are significant difference between the combined group and the chinese medicine group,the combined group and point embedding therapy group(P<0.05). There is significant difference between the chinese medicine group and point embedding therapy group (P<0.05).The improvement of hairy signs is not obvious (P>0.05).(3) In lowering weight,the combined group and the point embedding therapy group are better than the chinese medicine group(P<0.05),but there is no significant difference between the combined group and the point embedding therapy group (P>0.05). In reducing BMI and WHR, the combined group and the point embedding therapy group are better than the chinese medicine group(P<0.05), but there is no significant difference between the combined group and the point embedding therapy group (P>0.05).(4) Three groups significantly lower LH, LH/FSH ratio and T levels (P<0.05), the comparison of FSH is no significant difference before and after treatment. The efficiency of lowering LH, LH/FSH ratio,chinese medicine combined with point embedding therapy group is better than the other two groups (P<0.05), and the efficacy is significant difference between chinese medicine group and point embedding therapy group after drug withdrawal(P<0.05). The efficiency of lowering T levels,chinese medicine combined with point embedding therapy group is better than the other two groups (P<0.05), but the efficacy is no significant difference between chinese medicine group and point embedding therapy group after drug withdrawal(P>0.05).(5) Three groups can reduce the FINS and raise the ISI levels (P<0.05), the comparison of FPG is no significant difference before and after treatment. The efficiency of reducing the FINS and raising the ISI levels,chinese medicine combined with point embedding therapy group is better than the other two groups (P<0.05), but the efficacy is no significant difference between chinese medicine group and point embedding therapy group after drug withdrawal(P>0.05).(6)The BBT duplex rates:the combined group is65.0%,the chinese medicine group is37.0%and the point embedding therapy group is33.3%. The BBT duplex rates of combined group is higher than other two groups (P<0.05), but the efficacy is no significant difference between chinese medicine group and point embedding therapy group (P>0.05).Conclusion:Chinese medicine of eliminating phlegm and danmpness combined with point embedding therapy to cure the obese patients with PCOS-IR, could improve patients’ menstrual cycle, TCM syndrome, obesity, sign of acne, hormone disorders of women, insulin resistance status and recovery BBT biphasic.There is no significant adverse reactions.The effect of chinese medicine of eliminating phlegm and danmpness combined with point embedding therapy is exact,and it’s better than chinese medicine or point embedding therapy independently.
