| ObjectivesTo learn about Putuo District junior high schools students health literacy current situation, so to construct the frame and questionnaire of students health literacy, and search the elements that affect adolescent health, so that can be the base for making relevant health education policies.MethodsBased on searching documents, and comprehensive research of domestic and international materials, make further discussions on the connotation of health literacy. Through individuals and experts demonstration, and research on the coherence of content, and the effectiveness of questionnaire. From the total34junior high schools students, take a sample of13classes out of11schools, altogether420students use cross-sectional study. For the questionnaire data, used Epdata3.02software for data input, and used SPSS20.0software for data analysis.Resultsadolescent health literacy is made of health science knowledge, healthy life style, common disease prevention, basic medical knowledge, safety and emergency risk escape, altogether4big dimensionality and16aspects,42items. The questionnaire Cronbach’s a coefficient is bigger than0.8, which shows a good coherence of content.The Total scores of the target shows skewed distribution, so I used median and inter-quartile range to describe the scores, Total scores distribution is74.55(67.27-78.18),4big dimensionality include health science knowledge and healthy life style73.33(66.67-80.00)ã€common disease prevention62.50(56.25-75.00)ã€basic medical knowledge72.73(63.64-81.82)ã€safety and emergency risk escape85.71(78.57~100.00), among them, safety and emergency risk escape scores the highest, while disease prevention scores the lowest.If take individual scores80as health literacy standard, there’ re only17%of the students can match this standard.As of the targets demography feature, family and social economics elements, schools element, there’s no significant differences among students from different race, gender, nationality. However, the parents’educational level influence students and showed in the survey; there’s no significant differences between schools of different teaching qualities, however, there’s a big difference between Health-promoting-schools and non-health-promoting-schools.ConclusionAdolescent health literacy frame is divided into4dimensionality is in line with the definition and connotation of health literacy, which also reveals the knowledge and skills that adolescent need in acquiring, understanding and applying health information and medical services. adolescent health literacy questionnaire is trustworthy, effectiveness, and therefore can be the evaluation tool for measuring adolescent health literacy levels. Putuo District junior high schools grade one students health literacy acceptable level is not high, but the average level is near to acceptable level. In the elements affect adolescent health education, schools features are the most obvious element, especially on if the schools are Health-promoting-schools. |
