Goji polysaccharides (Lycium barbarum polysaccharide, LBP) is an important component ofChinese wolfberry and an important antioxidant. It has reported that it can scavenging oxygenfree radicals, inhibiting lipid peroxidation effect. And the protective effect of alcohol-inducedliver injury have also been reported. Zinc is an essential trace element for the human body.Zinc plays a catalytic system in a variety of enzymes, such as superoxide dismutase. Studieshave proved that zinc has anti-oxidant effect, is to maintain the stability of antioxidantenzymes important factors play an important role in the process of scavenging oxygen freeradicals, alcohol-induced liver injury has a protective effect. But whether they would bothcomplex and chronic alcoholic liver injury research synergies play, not yet reported. Thispaper aims to study of LBP and zinc sulfate complex paired rats with chronic alcoholic liverinjury synergistic protective effect and its mechanism. In this study, rats were divided into normal control group (normal control, NC), alcoholgroup (Alcohol), zinc sulfate (ZnSO4,24mg/kg), wolfberry polysaccharide group (LBP,500mg/kg), a composite of low concentrations (ZnSO4+LBP,12mg/kg+250mg/kg), acomposite high concentration group (ZnSO4+LBP,24mg/kg+500mg/kg). Administrationgroup was first administered orally formulated as a solution. In addition to the normal controlgroup to other groups ethanol feeding, the normal group was given the same dose of saline.8weeks after the experiment blood and liver testing.(1) Alcohol rat serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST)and liver tissue malondialdehyde (MDA) was significantly increased, the total superoxidedismutase (T-SOD), catalase (CAT) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-PX) reduced vitality, reduced glutathione (GSH) levels, indicating elevated liver tissue levels of oxidative stress inthe alcohol group. Alcohol treatment group compared with rats, liver T-SOD, GSH-PX, CATincreased vitality, increased GSH levels, while reducing the MDA, AST and ALT levels.Compared with the single-dose group composite group better. Show that wolfberrypolysaccharide complex with zinc sulfate better antioxidant to reduce oxidative damage tobiological macromolecules, thus protecting the liver to ease alcohol harm.(2) Serum total cholesterol alcohol group (TC) and triglycerides (TG) levels weresignificantly increased. Liver biopsy, a large number of bubbles of fat and inflammatory cell infiltration. Alcohol treatment group compared with rats, TC, TG content decreased in livertissue sections to reduce the amount of fat bubbles. Compared with the single-dose groupcomposite group better. Description Goji polysaccharides and zinc sulfate complex can formalcoholic fatty liver disease have a better inhibition.(3) Alcohol group were significantly increased expression of cytochrome P4502E1(CYP2E1) in liver tissue, activity was significantly enhanced. Alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH)activity was significantly decreased. Alcohol treatment group compared with rats, liver tissueto reduce CYP2E1expression, decreased activity; significantly increased ADH activity.Compared with the single-dose group composite group better. Zinc sulfate groups can besignificantly enhanced ADH activity, LBP group significantly inhibited the expression andactivity of CYP2E1. Description Goji polysaccharides and zinc sulfate complex can regulatealcohol with metabolic pathways thereby reduce the production of free radicals. In summary, LBP and zinc sulfate complex by inhibiting oxidative stress, inflammationand metabolic pathways regulating alcohol to protect the liver, and then to prevent excessivealcohol leads to alcoholic liver disease occurs. Improve the utilization of research results andzinc sulphate Goji polysaccharides of great significance, but also for them to provide ascientific basis and theoretical foundation as a dietary supplement in the prevention of liverdisease...
