Objective:To study the correlation between the polymorphism of potassium channelβ subunits KCNE1gene rs1805127and Atrial Fibrillation.Method: Two hundred patients with heart disease admitted to the CardiovascularDepartment of the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanhua University from June2012toDecember2012were selected in this study. The atrial fibrillation group is patientswith persistent atrial fibrillation, the control group is patients with non-atrialfibrillation. All patients were Han population in Heng yang. There are98cases in AFgroup; the control group was102cases. Venous Blood samples and clinical data ofthe patients were collected. The KCNE1gene rs1805127genotype and allele weredetermined by extracting DNA of the blood samples、PCR amplification and directsequencing. Associations of KCNE1gene rs1805127polymorphisms with atrialfibrillation in Heng Yang region were analysized by x2test and multivariate logisticregression(SPSS version17.0).Result:1. KCNE1gene rs1805127site AA, AG, GG genotype frequency respectivelyin atrial fibrillation group6%、42%、52%, the main type is homozygous GG; in thecontrol group were11%、51%、38%,the main tape is Heterozygous AG.2. The frequencies of A and G alleles were27%and73%in AF group while oneswere36%and64%in control group. The frequencies of alleles were G in both twogroups, and atrial fibrillation group G allele frequency was much higher than those inthe control group. The frequencies of alleles between AF group and control grouphave statistically significant.3. Logistic regression analysis showed that KCNE1gene polymorphismassociated with the occurrence of atrial fibrillation, genotype AA of OR value is0.05,95%CI=0.01-0.20. The left atrial diameter of OR value is1.29,95%CI1.19-1.4, theresults suggest that left atrial diameter is susceptibility to atrial fibrillation.Conclusions:1. KCNE1gene rs1805127polymorphism associated with theoccurrence of atrial fibrillation.2. The people who carried G alleles have higher risk of the occurrence of atrialfibrillation. 3. The Left atrial diameter size is a risk factor for atrial fibrillation.
