Objective:We aim to perform A meta-analysis of rotating hinge prostheses compared to fixed hinge prostheses for knee tumors and compare the outcomes. Methods:We searched the database of Pubmed, EMBASE, CNKI, VIP, WANFANG for all papers including clinical outcomes of rotating hinge prostheses compared to fixed hinge prostheses, the date was up to January2014, qualitative assessment and data extration were performed from the researches meeting the criteria, statistical analyses were done with Review Manager ver.5.2, We pool Weighted Mean Difference (WMDs) and95%confidence intervals (CIs) of measurement data and Relative Risk (RRs) of numeration data. Results:At last,6papers met all criterias were included. Rotating hinge prostheses compared to fixed hinge prostheses, the results showed no statistical differences in5-year prosthetic survial rate (RR=1.06;95%CI0.88-1.27, P=0.55), infection (RR=0.70;95%CI0.30-1.64, P=0.42),local recurrence (RR-1.01;95%CI0.45-2.25, P=0.98), aseptic loosening (RR=0.21;95%CI0.04-1.06, P=0.98), prosthsis frature (RR=0.21;95%CI0.04-1.06, P=0.98), meanwhile, the results showed statistical differences in10-year prosthetic survial rate (RR=1.57;95%CI1.12-2.20,P=0.009), knee flexion angle (MD=9.67;95%CI0.57-18.77, P=0.04), there was a description of MSTS comparing rotating hinge prostheses to fixed hinge prostheses. Conclusion:Comparing rotating hinge prostheses to fixed hinge prostheses, the results showed no statistical differences in5-year prosthetic survial rate, infection, aseptic loosening, local recurrence, prosthsis frature, rotating hinge protheses had advantages over fixed hinge prosthese in10-year survival rate and knee flexion angle, there was no clear conclusion in MSTS. |
