| Objective:To analyze the mid-term efficacy of a rotary hinge type knee prosthesis in the treatment of severe knee deformity.Methods:A total of 11 patients with rotational hinge knee replacement were enrolled in our hospital from January 2012 to December 2017.There were 2 male patients and9 female patients with 11 knees.Age 55-81 years old,mean: 68 years old;type of injury: 2 people with rheumatoid arthritis;6 people with osteoarthritis;1 person with multiple ligament injury around the knee;1 patient with knee bone defect;traumatic bone 1 person with arthritis.The patient's preoperative knee pain VAS score,HSS score,knee flexion and extension activity,operation time,postoperative complications were recorded.The patients were followed up for 12-63 months with an average of 34 months of follow-up.Joint VAS score,HSS score,knee flexion and extension activity and other related indicators.Results:All the 11 patients were followed up.One patient had postoperative infection,and the other patients all healed.The postoperative total length of the prosthesis was good.There was no transparent band around and the internal and external valgus deformity was corrected.Preoperative At the last follow-up,the average preoperative VAS score was 8 points,and the mean postoperative 4.6 points(P<0.05)was statistically significant.The HSS score increased from 37.6 points before surgery to74.8 points after surgery The difference of P<0.05 was statistically significant.The range of flexion and extension of knee joint was statistically significant from an average of 64.1° before surgery to an average of 92.7°(P<0.05).Conclusion:Rotating hinge type knee prosthesis for severe knee deformity has strict surgical indications,which can significantly correct severe knee valgus deformity and knee instability,and the mid-term effect of postoperative knee joint function recovery is satisfactory.At the same time,active preoperative preparation can improve postoperative safety. |
