Objective:To study the clinical effect of cyclosporine intervenes to treat patients withuveitis complicated cataract before and after surgery. Methods:selected in the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University fromOctober2010to March2013for diagnosis and treatment of the recurrent uveitiscomplicated by cataract patients,48cases (48eyes) surgery,20cases of male,28cases of female, the selected patients aged from36to65years old, the average age is50.1±7.34years old. Except other eye disease, hypertension, diabetes mellitus cancause systemic disease. It was randomly divided into observation group and controlgroup and operation performed by the same physician in local anesthesia forphacoemulsification cataract and intraocular lens implantation, each patient operatesan eye.24eyes in each group, the observation group was given cyclosporine, whilethe control group was given prednisone on2weeks before operation, in all3month.The recovery of visual acuity after operation1and3month, intraoperative andpostoperative complications and the side effects of drugs were observed in twogroups of patients, follow-up visit after1year observed the visual acuity andrecurrence.Statistical analysis: using SPSS17.0software package was used forstatistical analysis. Count data between groups were compared by chi square test. The measurement data using mean standard deviation (ˉx±S) to express, the twogroups were compared using the two sample mean comparison of t test or rank sumtest. The alpha=0.05level to determine whether there was significant differencebetween. Results:The group of postoperative visual acuity were greatly improved, the result ofthe first month and3month after operation were no significant (P>0.05), theobservation group after1years of recovery of visual acuity better than control group, there was significant difference between two groups (P<0.05); no seriouscomplications occurred after surgery: anterior chamber inflammation, cornealendothelial cell counting, and the side effects of the drug were statistically nosignificant (P>0.05); observation group after1year recurrence rate was12.5%,lowerthan that of the control group, there was significant difference between two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:The effect of cyclosporine is positive before and after the uveitis complicatedcataract surgery in patients. Long-term recovery of visual acuity better, recurrencerate is lower than untreated, medication safety, can be carried out in clinical.
