ObjectiveRandomized controlled method taken, by observing the clinical efficacy of Point Shenguan on treating frozen shoulder through a series of scoring scale, Preliminary objectively evaluate the clinical efficacy of treatment of frozen shoulder.Methods80cases of patients with frozen shoulder was selected according to the inclusive standard.By the method of simple random,80patients were randomly divided into two groups, one was controlled group which using traditional acupuncture, and the other was Point Shenguan treatment group. The treatment group was treated by Point Shenguan of the opposite side, while the controlled group was treated by Point Jianyu, Jianqian, Jianzhen, Shousanli and Ashi. Both of the patients should take functional exercise of the affected side of shoulder. The treatment was taken every other day a time while five treatment for a course, two courses in total. At the treatment of the first, the second course and one month after the treatment, we would be going to observe overall efficiency, and evaluate the efficacy which include pain, shoulder function, shoulder range of activities. Subsequently take a statistical analysis of the test results after the database was established.ResultsThe comparison of the general information(age, sexuality, course of disease, disease location)of two groups had no significant difference (P>0.05). At the end of the treatment, the difference of the total effective rate between this two groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05), however a month later, the treatment group was better and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). In comparison with the two groups of VAS, JOA score, pain relief score and function improved score, we found that at the end of the first course, the VAS and the pain relief score of treatment group was better than the controlled group, and the difference between the two group was statistically significant (P<0.05). At the end of the treatment, the function improved score and activity restoration score of the treatment group was better, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).ConclusionThe results suggest that:both Point Shenguan needling and traditional acupuncture had effect on improving ache and function of the patients with Scapulohumeral Periarthritis. In terms of rapid analgesic and long-term activity and function restoration, the Point Shenguan group was better than traditional acupuncture group.
