ObjectiveTo assess the efficacy of Spicule collaterals and Cupping coordinating with Warming needle Therapy at Cervical Jiaji to nerve root cervical spondylosis.MethodsThis research between December2012and December2013in Sanya Hospital of TCM treated Cervical Spondylosis of Nerve root type, employing the draw-lots methods to divide60patients into two groups randomly. The treatment group uses spicule collaterals and cupping coordinating with warming needle, acupoint select Cervical Jiaji poinits. After Cervical Jiaji points spicule collaterals and cupping, make Warming acupuncture at the painful Cervical Jiaji points, once per day,10times for a period of treatment. The control group treating by electric acupuncture plus Lamp method, treated with pionts according to the rule of selecting acupoint, which is from the reference to "therapy science of acupuncture and moxibustion"(Second edition, Ed. WangQicai). Main point:Cervical Jiaji poinits, Tachui, Tienchu, Houhsi, ashi point. After needle, electrify at two Cervical Jiaji poinits with the continuous wave, plus TDP irradiation at the same time, strength in patient tolerance for degrees,20minutes at a time. Ten times for a period of treatment, once a day. Reference to the the McGill simplified scale (SF-MPQ), as observed indicators to the pain grading index PRI total score, visual analogue scale (VAS) and existing pain intensity ((PPI), compare observed on treatment group and control group, before and after treatment were studied, in order to study effect of the Cervical Jiaji poinits spicule collaterals and cupping cooperating with warming needle treatment of cervical spondylosis of nerve root type.ResultsClinical studies showed that, after treatment, the treatment group and control group both had statistically significant difference (P<0.05) compared with that before treatments, suggested that both groups could relief the symptoms and got obvious effect. Comparison between two groups also showed a statistically significant difference (P<0.05), which indicating that spicule collaterals and cupping coordinating warming needle at cervical Jiaji points could relief the symptoms more and got a more obvious effect.Clinical efficacy part, after a course of treatment, the treatment group cure9cases,11cases were markedly effective, effective9cases,1had no effect; Control group4cases were cured,9cases had marked effect, effectively in13,4had no effect. The cure rate of treatment group was30%(9cases), while the control group was13.3%(4cases), it showed statistically significant difference(P<0.05);besides, the total effectiveness between the treatment group (96.7%)and the control group(86.7%) also had statistically significant difference (P<0.05). ConclusionSpicule collaterals and cupping with warmming needle at Cervical Jiaji poinits for the treatment of cervical spondylosis of nerve root type have exact clinical curative effect, can effectively relieve patients’pain, had better curative effect than that of electric acupuncture plus TDP therapy.
