Trillium tschonoskii Maxim which belongs to Trillium.L, is including the dried roots (c ommonly known as "dizhu") and mature fruit (commonly known as "tianzhu").It is a kind of TuJiazu medicine which including four medicines (Balanop hora involicrata Ho ok.f., Diphylleia sinensis H.L.Li, Paris polyphylla, Trillium tschonoskii Maxim).Trilli um tschonoskii Maxim also called yuerqi, shierqi, toudingzhu.They are mainly distribut ed inHubei, Xizang, Yunnan, Sichuan, Shanxi, Gansu, Anhui, Zhejiang and Fujian and so on. This medicine taste sweet, which have nature of moderate, Small toxicity. Its rhizomes and fibrous roots can be used for medicine. It has function of Tranquiliz e mind, Activating blood and stop bleeding, remove toxic.It often used in the treatme nt of hypertension, neurasthenia, headache, injuries, Traumatic bleeding. Trillium tsch onoskii Maxim is one of the traditional valuable Chinese herbal medicine. A lot kinds of active ingredients have been obtained from it. These compounds have shown a va riety of obvious pharmacological activities such as marked anti-inflammatory, anti-tumo r activities,anti-aging activities, analgesic and the function of immunological regulation.Objectives:To study the chemical composition of the root of Trillium tschonoskii Ma xim systematically and especially in antineoplastic physiologically active conduct preli minary studies of the main compound. The isolaed new compound were tested to antit umor activity screening. Methods:The dried root of Trillium tschonoskii Maxim, was percolated with70%Et OH and partitioned with ethyl acetate, petroleum ether, n-butyl alcohol fractionally. Constituents were isolated and purified by silica gel column chromatography, TLC pre paration and recrystallization.Their structures were identified on the basis of their che mical and physical properties as well as the spectra data of MS, IR, UV,1H-NMR,13C-NMR etal. And components of high content are conducted antitumor activity screen ing.Results:Seventeen compounds had been isolated from the the root of Trillium tschono skii Maxim, they are stearic acid(1),α-amyrenol(2), ursolic acid(3),(3-sitosterol (4), Stigmasterol (5), Daucosterol (6), stigmasterol-3-O-(3-D-glucopyranoside (7), stigmaster ol-3-O-(3-D-glucopyranoside-6’-hexacosanoate (8), astragalin (9), pennogenin-3-O-a-L-r hamnopyranosyl-(1'2)-β-D-glucopyranoside(10), pennogenin-3-O-a-L-rhamno-pyranosy1-(1'4)-[α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1'2)]-β-D-glucopyranoside)(11), pennogenin-3-O-α-L-r hamnopyranosyl-(1'4)-a-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1'4)-[a-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1'2)]-β-D-gl ucopyranoside (12),(25R)-24p-hydroxypenogenin-3-O-a-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1'2)-β-D-gl ucopyranoside.(13), diosgenin-3-O-a-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1'2)-β-D-glucopyranoside (14), deoxytrillenoside A (15), trillenosideA(16), trikamsterosideC(17).Conclusion:Seventeen compounds had been isolated from the the root of Trillium tschonoskii Maxim. Among them, compounds13was new compound, compounds2、3、5、7、8were isolated from Trillium.L. for the first time. compound14-17was isol ated from Trillium tschonoskii Maxim for the first time.
