Objective:To investigate the expression of Girdin in bladder carcinoma, renal carcinoma and that in normal mucosa by immunehistochemistry, analyze the clinical pathological features and histopathological staging, then demonstrate the relationship with the occurrence, development, invasion and metastasis of bladder carcinoma and renal carcinoma, to find the early defective markers of invasion and metastasis of bladder carcinoma and renal carcinoma, and to research the useful ways to depress them.Methods:The expression of Girdin in20cases of normal bladder mucosa and80cases of bladder carcinoma,20cases of normal renal tissue and80cases of renal carcinoma were detected by immunohistochemistry, and the clinical pathological features were analyzed. All datas were analyzed by SPSS20.0statistical software package, we used the Wilcoxon test for the comparsion of the strength of the expressions, the chi-square test for the comparsion of high expression rate, the Spearmen rank correlation analysis for the strength of expressions.Results:1. The expression strength and high expression rate of Girdin in bladder carcinoma tissue were significantly higher than that in normal mucosa of bladder with statistically difference, respectively(Z=-2.572,P=0.010;χ2=4.558,P=0.033). Positive expression of Girdin was increased in bladder carcinoma. Girdin expression strength and pathological stage, smoking were positively related(Z=-2.600,P=0.009; Z=-2.672, P=0.008), but the expression strength and sex, age, pathological degree and urine cytology showed no statistically difference. The high expression rate of Girdin and pathological stage and smoking were positively related(χ2=4.832,P=0.028; χ2=4.872,P=0.027), but no related with the others.2. The expression strength and high expression rate of Girdin in renal carcinoma tissue were significantly higher than that in normal mucosa with statistically difference(Z=-3.942,P=0.000;χ2=13.462,P=0.000). Positive expression of Girdin was increased in renal carcinoma. Girdin expression strength and smoking were positively related(Z=-2.039,P=0.041), but the expression strength and sex, age, pathological degree, smoking and metastasis showed no statistically difference. The high expression rate of Girdin and smoking were positively related(χ2=7.981,P=0.005), but no related with the others.Conclusions:1. The expression strength and high expression rate of Girdin in bladder carcinoma and renal carcinoma were significantly higher than that in normal mucosa with statistically difference, the over-expression of Girdin were relevant with the development and progression of bladder carcinoma and renal carcinoma.2. The expression strength and high expression rate of Girdin were positively related with pathological stage, they may play an important role in invasive and metastasis of bladder carcinoma.3. The expression strength of Girdin were positively related with smoking in bladder carcinoma and renal carcinoma, smoking was relevant with the development and progression of bladder carcinoma and renal carcinoma.4. Girdin can be used to determine the biological behavior and prognosis of bladder carcinoma and renal carcinoma.
