ObjectiveThrough the clinical research, this study observes the effect on heart-kidney imbalance syndrome of insomnia treatment by acupuncture on the concept of Biao-Ben theory. From this study, it can lead us to research the promoted value of Biao-Ben theory in treating heart-kidney imbalance syndrome of insomnia.Methods60cases of heart-kidney imbalance syndrome of insomnia patients were randomly divided into treatment group(30cases) and control group(30cases). Patients in treatment group were treated by acupuncture on the concept of Biao-Ben theory, while the control group were treated by acupuncture on the common theory. By comparing the Biao-Ben theory with the traditional way, and by comparing the ratio of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI) and self-made heart-kidney imbalance syndrome of insomnia symptoms rating scale. Finally, used the SPSS17.0software for statistical analysis and made conclusion.Results①By means of statistical analysis, the basic information of the cases of the two groups before treatment (gender, age, course of the disease, illness, PSQI score and TCM syndrome integral) were significantly different (P>0.05).②The total effect:After treatment, the treatment group had5cured cases,16markedly effective cases,6effective cases, and1inefficacy cases, total effective rate was96.43%, the efficiency rate was75.00%; The control group had2cured cases,11markedly effective cases,13effective cases, and3inefficacy cases, total effective rate was89.66%, the efficiency rate was44.83%. Compared two groups with the rank and sum test, P=0.018(P<0.05), there were significant difference. ③After the treatment, the indicators and the total score of PSQI scale of observation have significant difference (P<0.05).But after treatment, group comparison between each index and the total score of PSQI scale, according to two groups in sleep efficiency, daytime function and total score all have significant difference (P<0.05), while others were no significant difference (P>0.05). That specimen theory leaded to the result that the treatment group was better than the control group in improving imbalance syndrome of insomnia in patients with insomnia sleep efficiency, daytime function.④After the treatment, comparing with the observation of the various components and total score of syndromes, the most component of syndromes of the two groups were have obviously improved (P<0.05);Through the comparison of two groups after treatment, two groups have significant differences (P<0.05) in the difficulty falling asleep, dream syndromes, lumbar debility, less dry throat and Zimbabwe, but others were not significantly different (P>0.05). It prompted that the efficiency of treatment group in improving imbalance syndrome of insomnia patients with insomnia sleep difficulties, much dream, lumbar debility, dry throat and Zimbabwe is superior to conventional acupuncture group.ConelusionTo sum up, the treatment group and the control group were all effective in improving heart-kidney imbalance syndrome of insomnia patients with PSQI components and total score, as well as the insomnia TCM syndromes. Therefor, two groups were all effective in treating heart-kidney imbalance syndrome of insomnia patients in different degrees. But the treatment group were mere effective that the control group in improving heart-kidney imbalance syndrome of insomnia patients with the PSQI sleep efficiency, daytime function in patients with insomnia and Chinese medicine trouble falling asleep, much dream, lumbar debility, less dry throat syndromes. Therefore, it is worth to use Biao-Ben Theory to treat heart-kidney imbalance syndrome of insomnia patients, but its long-term efficacy needs further discussion.
