| ObjectiveThrough clinical randomized controlled trials, choosing insomnia patients in accordance with diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria for the study, using Shenmai-acupoint injection cooperating with acupuncture for the treatment of this disease, comparing with normal acupuncture control group to study the curative effect and feasibility of Shenmai acupoint injection cooperating with acupuncture for the treatment of liver and kidney yin deficiency type of insomnia.MethodsThis study makes an observation through clinical randomized controlled trials; selects60cases of patients with insomnia in according with the unified diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria who receive medical advice in acupuncture ward or out-patient department in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine between June2013to Februray2014; divides the60cases of patients with insomnia who meet the standard into2groups, the treatment group and the control group, there are30cases in each group. The patients in treatment group are treated by Shenmai acupoint injection alternate bilateral BL18and BL23cooperating with acupuncture, while the patients in control group are just treated by normal acupuncture only. The patients in the two groups are all treated once every other day,3times a week while Sunday is off. They are all treated4weeks which is a course of treatment. Before and after the course of treatment, we respectively use the PSQI and the scale of main symptoms of liver and kidney yin deficiency type to compare the two groups patients before and after treatment with the changes in sleep. Collect the clinical data to establish the database, use the SPSS17.0statistical software to analyse the data. Finally, discuss the results and summarize the evperience.ResultsThrough chi-square test and t-test, the general clinical data of the two groups prove that the patients are comparable(P>0.05).After the course of treatment which lasts4weeks, there are7patients clinically cured,13patients markedly cured,8patients effectively cured, and2patients in vain in the treatment group, while there are4patients clinically cured,8patients markedly cured,12patients effectively cured, and6patients in vain in the control group. The total effective rate of the treatment group is93.33%, which is80.00%in the control group. Through the Ridit test analysis, the clinical total effective difference between the two groups is proved statistically significant(P<0.05), showing that the clinical curative effect of Shenmai acupoint injection cooperating with acupuncture for the treatment of insomnia of liver and kidney yin deficiency type is better the effect of normal acupuncture.The differences in the PSQI scores and the total scores of the scale of main symptoms of liver and kidney yin deficiency type between before and after treatment are proved statistically significant in both two groups (P<0.05), which show that both Shenmai acupoint injection cooperating with acupuncture and normal acupuncture are clinically effective to improve sleep and main symptoms of the patients suffering from insomnia of liver and kidney yin deficiency type to some extent.The differences in the individual component integrations of the PSQI scale between before and after treatment are proved statistically significant in both two groups (P<0.05), which show that both Shenmai acupoint injection cooperating with acupuncture and normal acupuncture are clinically effective to improve sleep quality, time of falling asleep, sleep time, sleep efficiency, sleep disorder and daytime dysfunction of the patients suffering from insomnia of liver and kidney yin deficiency type to some extent.Compared the PSQI score difference and the total score difference of the scale of main symptoms of liver and kidney yin deficiency type between before and after treatment in the treatment group with those in the control group, the data are proved statistically significant (P<0.05), which show that the clinical curative effect of Shenmai acupoint injection cooperating with acupuncture in improving sleep and main symptoms of the patients suffering from insomnia of liver and kidney yin deficiency type is better than the clinical curative effect of normal acupuncture.Compared the individual component integral differences of the PSQI scale between before and after treatment in the treatment group with those in the control group, the integral differences of sleep quality, sleep efficiency and sleep disorder between the two groups are proved statistically significant (P<0.05), while the integral differences of time of falling asleep, sleep time and daytime dysfunction between the two groups are not statistically significant (P>0.05), which show that the clinical curative effect of Shenmai acupoint injection cooperating with acupuncture in improving sleep quality, sleep efficiency and sleep disorder of the patients suffering from insomnia of liver and kidney yin deficiency type is better than the clinical curative effect of normal acupuncture, while the clinical curative effect in improving time of falling asleep, sleep time and daytime dysfunction in the two groups are equivalent.ConclusionBoth Shenmai acupoint injection cooperating with acupuncture and normal acupuncture can improve sleep and main symptoms of the patients suffering from insomnia of liver and kidney yin deficiency type to some extent, and the clinical curative effect of the former is superior to the latter. Shenmai acupoint injection cooperating with acupuncture for the treatment of insomnia of liver and kidney yin deficiency type combines the function of acupuncture, acupoint and drugs together. As the treatment is simply and easily operated, clinical working quickly and high efficient, it is worth further promotion and application in clinical. |
