Objective:To observe clinical efficacy of Xinma Granules on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (short for COPD) combined with disease pulmonary heart disease patients, to analysis how and why COPD gives rise to pulmonary heart disease and to achieve the control of COPD using traditional Chinese medicine so as to curb the deterioration of COPD and provide related basis.Methods:1、80patients in accordance with the inclusion criteria were randomly and equally divided into the treatment group(western medicine therapy+Xinma Granules) and the control group(only western medicine therapy) and were treated for14days. Symptoms and signs were observed and recorded and clinical efficacy before and after the treatment were compared.2、SPSS13.0was used to analyze dates after clinical observation.Result:1、the clinical efficacy:①Patients’conditions before treatment in the control group were as follows:2mild patients,18moderate patients,22severe patients while in the control group:2mild patients,20moderate patients,18severe patients. There was no significant difference before treatment (P>0.05) of the conditions of both groups.②The average volume integral of symptoms of the treatment group before treatment was78.52±2.11and after the treatment was50.68±3.08points while that of the control group before treatment was79.21±1.29and after treatment was42.54±2.79. There was no significant difference before treatment(P>0.05) while there was statistical difference after treatment (P<0.05).③After treatment, the significant rate of the control group was9.1%, effective rate accounting for66.8%, the total effective rate75.9%; the significant rate of the treatment group was25.7%, the effective is64.9%, the total effective rate of90.6%. The total effective rates of two groups had significant difference statistically significant(P<0.05).2、Arterial blood gas:In the control group, the average PaO2before treatment is52.30±4.67mmHg, the average PaO2is49.55±4.74mmHg, pH value of an average of7.22±0.03mmHg while after treatment PaC02after treatment for an average of43.30±6.83mmHg, the average PaO2is65.35±3.18mmHg, pH value of an average of7.37±0.09mmHg. In the treatment group before the treatment he average PaC02is53.95±7.08mmHg, the average Pa02is47±4.23mmHg, pH value of an average of7.20±0.06mmHg while after treatment PaC02for an average of36.54±6.52mmHg, the average PaO2is67.50±5.51mmHg, pH value of an average of7.38±0.11mmHg. There was no statistical difference in the arterial gas index of both groups before treatment. There was statistical difference in PaCO2, PaO2after treatment in both groups(P<0.05) while there was no significant difference between the before and after treatment in pH value of both groups(P>0.05)).Conclusion:1、Xinma Granules Combined with western medicine group (treatment group) and Western medicine group (control group) are able to improve symptoms, but the clinical efficacy of treatment group is better than that of the control group, which could provide a reference for the future treatment of pulmonary heart disease.2、Xinma Granules Combined with western medicine group and Western medicine group can improve the patients arterial blood gas. The treatment group had the advantage in improving the PaC02、Pa02index than the pure western medicine treatment, but no difference in improving pH.
