| Objective: This study of98cases of refractory non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)patients with Xie’s Feiai No.3Formula treatment (48cases) or single chemotherapytreatment (50cases), before and after for therapeutic efficacy, adverse reactions, lifequality, weight, tumor markers, indicators of the level of immune control study.Methods:98met the inclusion criteria of advanced refractory NSCLC patients weredivided according to treatment group therapy, chemotherapy, prospective study, oralsolution treatment group to the Xie’s Feiai No.3Formula treatment, addition andsubtraction with the disease, day one, each dose of dextrose320ml, morning andevening, warm clothes, in January as a course of treatment for the three courses ofchemotherapy group were GP or TP program to three weeks for a course of threecourses of chemotherapy, medicine-lung cancer chemotherapy using Xie’s Feiai No.3Formula oral solution with GP or TP combination therapy, all patients were followed upfor at least6months.2groups of patients were recorded before and after clinicalsymptoms, weight changes, quality of life, and tumor size, tumor markers(CYFRA21-1, CEA, CA19-9) changes in other indicators, as well as adverse drugreactions, etc., and statistical school comparison. Results:1、The Short-term Effect: The results showed that: TCM group was10.42%, a stablerate of81.25percent,Chemotherapy group was12.00%, a stable rate of52.00%. Therewas no significant difference in efficiency (P>0.05), disease control rate difference wasstatistically significant (P <0.01)2groups, suggesting that Chinese medicine group wassignificantly better than the control treatment group.2、Adverse Reactions: the solution ’s lung cancer cases observed on the Xie’s Feiai No.3Formula were no adverse reactions, no adverse events occurred in the chemotherapygroup varying degrees of bone marrow suppression, liver and kidney dysfunction,gastrointestinal reactions.3、The Quality of Life: After the end of treatment, the solution ’s lung on the3rd partygroup KPS increased in23cases,20cases of stable, with a total effective rate was89.58%in the chemotherapy group increased by6cases, stable in10cases, totaleffective rate was50.00%, two groups, there were significant differences. Tip medicinegroup was better than medicine group, and can significantly improve the quality of lifeof patients.(P <0.05)4、Weight Change: The Xie’s Feiai No.3Formula group increased by16cases,25casesof stable, lower seven cases, a stable rate of85.42percent increase. Chemotherapygroup increased by10cases, stable in18cases,22cases lower, steady rate of56.00percent increase, there was a significant difference two sets of data.(P <0.05)5、Tumor Marker Levels: Lung cancer group than the Xie’s Feiai No.3Formula canreduce the chemotherapy group in patients with advanced lung cancer serum tumormarkers CEA, CA12-5, the expression levels of CYFRA21-1.(P <0.05)6、The Level of Immune Cell Function Index Comparison: lung cancer on the3rd partygroup can significantly improve the total number of T cells, helper T cells and NK cellscompared with the chemotherapy group.7、The Overall Survival:The date of last follow-up of patients February26,2014, to thedate of last follow-up, no lost. Currently, one case died in Xie’s Feiai No.3Formulagroup,11cases has tumor progression, median progression-free survival of19.8weeks. Chemotherapy group died six cases, tumor progression requires further treatment in27cases, the median progression-free survival12weeks.Conclusion:1、The patients of Xie’s Feiai No.3Formula group can not only stabilize the tumor butalso prolong progression-free survival time and improve quality of life and increase theweight.2、 The Xie’s Feiai No.3Formula can reduce tumor markers (CEA, CA12-5,CYFRA21-1) expression levels, adjust the body’s yin and yang imbalance.3、The Xie’s Feiai No.3Formula can not only increase T cells, but help T cells as wellas the total number of NK cells, reducing the level of suppressor T cells, enhanceimmunity. |
