ObjectiveTo evaluate the local control results in stage Ⅲ NSCLC patientstreating with super gamma system.MethodsData of165cases of stage Ⅲ NSCLC patients treated with super supergamma system from January2005to October2010was analyzedretrospectively. Super gamma system, vacuum pads and three-dimensionalcoordinates of a stereotactic body frame were used to immobilize thepatients, CT simulator was used for enhancement scanning every3-5mm,and the images data were transferred to a computer workstation for TPStreatment planning.50%~70%of the dose curve for the prescription dose.Fraction of3~6Gy/d,5fractions a week. Prescription dose is50~70Gy(converted to equivalent dose of conventionally fractionated radiationtherapy dose according to linear-quadratic models), the highest dose point islocated within the tumor. All of patients were evaluated with CT scan at themoment of3to6months post radiotherapy. We evaluated effectiveness according to the WHO solid tumor response criterion. SPSS19.0statisticalsoftware was used for influence factors analysis.ResultsThe overall response rate(CR+PR) was86.7%in165cases. Univariateanalysis showed that therapeutic effectiveness is associated with clinicalstage, pathological type, total dose, independent on age, gender, tumor sizeand the dose rateConclusionSuper gamma system, whose clinical efficacy is positive in treatingstage Ⅲ NSCLC, adopting high dose per fraction and short-course oftreatment modalities, with a high rate of local control. Clinical stage, pathological type, total dose had significant effect on prognosticet. The doserate decline of the focus of the super gamma system does not lead to thedecrease of the therapeutic effect.
