Arandom sample of10people was choosed in each goup of each district in Dalian, half ofmen and women. The facial image acquisition for the360respondents was made, andwe divided the full extent of upper eyelid for six grades: D=-3~2, recorded and inputthe statistical data into Microsoft Office Excel. Statistical analysis was executed bySPSS17.0software, and the results were tested and analyzed by chi-square test, independent sample t test and Spearman rank correlation. Results:1.There wasstatistical significance in the prevalence of male and female in sunken uppereyelid.(X2=17.19,v=1, X2> X20.05,1=3.84, P<0.05).2. There was statistical significancein the prevalence of male and female in swollen upper eyelid.(X2=6.21,v=1, X2>X20.05,1=3.84, P<0.05).3. D value of sunken upper eyelid: D(male)=-0.650.39,D(female)=-0.870.39,t=1.211,v=16,P=0.243>0.05, there was no statisticalsignificance.4. D value of swollen upper eyelid: D(male)=0.200.09,D(female)=0.330.17,t=1.978,v=16,P=0.065>0.05, there was no statistical significance.5. Dvalue of male in sunken upper eyelid had a negative correlation with age.(r=-0.967,P<0.001). D value of female in sunken upper eyelid had a negative correlation withage.(r=-0.993,P<0.001).6.D value of male and female in swollen upper eyelid had no correlation with age. According to the curve, D value of male in swollen upper eyelidwere increased before the age of70~74years and gradually declined after it. D value offemale in swollen upper eyelid were increased before the age of65~69years andgradually declined after it. Conclusions:1.There were both significant differencebetween male and female in sunken upper eyelid and swollen upper eyelid. Theprevalence of female was significantly higher than male in sunken upper eyelid, theprevalence of male was significantly higher than female in swollen upper eyelid.2.There were both no significant difference between male and female in D value ofsunken upper eyelid and swollen upper eyelid.3.The degree of male and female insunken upper eyelid gradually increased with age, the degree of male and female inswollen upper eyelid reduced after increasing, it should be related to expansion of uppereyelid fat and subsequent atrophy. These conclusions will help us guide clinicaltreatment better, while improving sagging upper eyelid, we should pay more attention tothe sunken upper eyelid of female, and the swollen upper eyelid of male. Formulatecosmetic program according to their own situation so as to achieve better results.
