Analysis And Research For Critical Patients’ Nursing Satisfaction From A First-class Hospital

[Objective] Patient satisfaction is an effective method for evaluation of nursing quality and for improvement of the work of medical care standards. To provide basis for intervention, the satisfaction of critical patients and the family member was investigated in the ICU, and the factors of satisfaction was explored.[Methods] Inpatients which hospitalized more than24h and the family member were investigated from October2012to September2013. Survey content includes service attitude of nurses, nursing technique level, care of the patients with communication, environmental management, basic nursing and other ten items. The influence factors of nursing satisfaction was analyze by the Chi-square test.[Results]583effective questionnaires were taken back from608questionnaires, and the effective recovery rate was96%. The nursing satisfaction rate of male patients was76.6%, the satisfaction rate of female patients was78.9%, there was no significant difference by the Chi-square test. Nursing satisfaction rate of patient which have a primary school graduate was71.4%, nursing satisfaction rate of patient which have junior high school degree and technical secondary school degree was80.3%, and nursing satisfaction rate of patient which have more than senior high school Degree was78.4%, there was no significant difference by the Chi-square test. The satisfaction of the patient which had been better and then change departments or hospitals were74.6%or92.9%respectively. The satisfaction of the patient which give up and leave hospital was57.3%. There was significant difference by the Chi-square test. The satisfaction of the patient whose payment of medical expenses was self-paying, health insurance, new rural cooperative medical system or other was82.1%、72.4%、78.1%、83.3%respectively. There was no significant difference by the Chi-square test. The satisfaction of the patient whose nurse-patient communication is qualified or unqualified was82.7%,67.5%respectively; there was significant difference by the Chi-square test. The satisfaction of rural patients was76.0%, and the satisfaction of patients with city was78.9%; there was no significant difference by the Chi-square test.[Conclusion](1) different disease outcome affects the satisfaction of nursing, and nursing satisfaction affected by the treatment effect.(2) nurse-patient communication engaged in improving the nursing satisfaction. Nursing staff should be equipped scientifically in medical institutions, and the spirit of the nurse’s humanistic care should be cultivated. To improve the quality of nursing and achieve patients with higher degree of satisfaction, the nurse should pay attention to all aspects of the care services of critical patients, especially communication and basic nursing nurses during nursing process.
