The Relevance Between Types Of Constitution And Syndromes About Children With Sexual Precocity In TCM

Objective Through the clinical observation about physical characteristic of the childrenwith pecocious puberty, this topic need to confirm the questionnaire on physical characteristicsput forward by tutor is more appropriate for the children, and further to investigate thedistribution of the children’s physical characteristics and syndrome differentiation, thenexpiore the correlation between them so as to provide evidences for the prevention andtreatment of precocious puberty form the aspect of physical contitution, and also find out anew thinking for diagnosis and treatment from the combination of the physical identificationand syndrome differentiation in Chinese Traditional Medicine.Methods In this study,120children with sexual precocity conformed to the diagnosticcriteria got same questionnaire survey, and then to proceed a reliability and validity test fromthe result that concerned constitution, to conduct a rank sum test for the relevance between theage and the distribution-composition proportion or types of constitution, same with the gender,to have a chi-square test among the terms of constitution, syndrome, and the relevancebetween them.Results①Two kinds of questionnaire on constitution had got the Cologne Bachreliability coefficient test and the structure validity test respectively, both of them were suit forthis clinical research, but the one put forward by tutor had a higher clinical value bycomparing.②From May2013to December2013,120children in sexual precocity had beenincluded in this research, among them,14boys(11.7％),106girls(88.3％)，male-to-femaleratio was abut1:7.5, the average onset age was7.39years old.③The physical distribution ofchildren in sexual precocity: the balanced constitution(20.8％), the inner-fire stomachconstitution(15.0％), the spleen wet-sheng constitution(18.3％), the over liver-heart fireconstitution(9.2％), the yin deficiency constitution(31.7％)， the lung-spleen deficiencyconstitution(3.3％)，the deficiency of liver and kidney constitution(0.0％)，the out of ordinaryconstitution(1.7％). Among all the kinds of constitution above, there was a statisticallysignificance when compared in constituent ratio(P＜0.05), and it had a significant potential tocombining the yin deficiency constitution for the inner-fire stomach constitution, the spleenwet-sheng constitution and the over liver-heart fire constitution.④There was statistical significance in different gander for children with sexual precocity in the side of theconstitution(P＜0.05). And except yin deficiency constitution, boys gave priority to the spleenwet-sheng constitution, girls were more probably belonged to inner-fire stomach constitution.⑤In children with precocious puberty, kinds of constitution had statistical significance indifferent ages(P＜0.05), especially, school-age children suffered as the main group.⑥Syndrome distribution for children with precocious puberty: liver fire retarding type (20%),damp heat type (38.3%), hyperactivity of fire due to yin deficiency type (41.7%), there was nostatistical significance for the hyperactivity of fire due to yin deficiency type and the dampheat type in the constituent ratio(P＞0.05), but there was for the other syndromes(P＜0.05).⑦In the syndrome distribution for the balanced constitution and the yin deficiencyconstitution, there were statistical significance in the constituent ratio when the damp heat typeand the hyperactivity of fire due to yin deficiency type compared with the others(P＜0.05).And for the the inner-fire stomach constitution, it was same with the hyperactivity of fire dueto yin deficiency type(P＜0.05). But for the other kinds of constitution, there was no statisticalsignificance when the types of syndrome compared in the constituent ratio(P＞0.05).Conclusion①In this investigation for children with sexual precocity, the constitutionquestionnaire put forward by the tutor is more suitable for children from1to10years old.②The morbidity of sexual precocity has difference in age and gender, girls get the majority ofproportion,and the mean onset age is7.39.③The yin deficiency constitution is the mostprobably one to form for children subjected to sexual precocity.④There is a genderdifference in constitution for children with sexual precocity, boys give priority to the spleenwet-sheng constitution and the yin deficiency constitution, girls were more probably belongedto the inner-fire stomach constitution and the yin deficiency constitution.⑤In children withprecocious puberty, kinds of constitution had statistical significance in different ages(P＜0.05),especially, school-age children suffered as the main group.⑥Hyperactivity of fire due to yindeficiency type is the main type of syndromes for children with sexual precocity.⑦There isrelevance between the constitution and syndrome. For the children belonged to the balancedconstitution and the yin deficiency constitution, the damp heat type and the hyperactivity offire due to yin deficiency type are more easier to get. For children belong to inner fire stomachconstitution, it is on a bigger risk to form the hyperactivity of fire due to yin deficiency type.And children with other kinds of constitution have the same chance to get every type ofsyndrome...
