Objective: This study was aimed to scientific, standardized clinical trials, observationsubtraction cistanche Treated constipation-predominant irritable bowel syndrome(spleen and kidney yang) is in improving the clinical signs and symptoms, improvequality of life, stable disease and improve long-term terms of efficacy has obviouseffects, and scientific and objective evaluation of the clinical efficacy and safety, andexplore its mechanism of action, so as to provide a theoretical basis for the medicaltreatment of the disease.Methods: Met the inclusion criteria,72patients after exclusion screening criteriawere randomly divided into treatment group (36cases) and control group (36cases),the treatment group had two cases of loss, the control group had three cases of loss.Two groups of patients were adjusted daily life, improve diet, adequate exercise andother general treatment, based on the general treatment of the treatment group wasgiven subtraction cistanche decoction, Fang Chinese Herbal Medicine Hospital ofHenan Province by the unified purchase and boiling system decoction into200ml bags,one bag each time, twice a day, morning and evening orally, according to changes inthe patient’s symptoms and adjust the amount of individual differences. The controlgroup received treatment based on the general oral lactulose (Lee move, BeijingPharmaceutical Co., Korea and the U.S., production batch number:20130109,100ml),10ml bid po. Both groups two weeks for a course of treatment was observed2, afterthe end of treatment for the two groups of patients at week12to visit. Observed inpatients before and after treatment, clinical symptoms and signs, and other aspects ofquality of life and when you visit, compare and evaluate the therapeutic effect of thetwo groups.Results:(1) Differences in baseline comparison: two groups in gender, age, diseaseduration, the main symptoms and signs, and other aspects of quality of life scores were statistically no significant differences were comparable (P>0.05).(2) After4weeks of treatment, the treatment group and the control group was significantlyimprove the efficacy in terms of comprehensive, statistically significant (P <0.05);there are differences in terms of improving the quality of life, with statisticalsignificance (P <0.05); improvement of traits in stool no significant differencebetween the two (P>0.05), abdominal pain, poor appetite, constipation, hiccups,vomiting, body tired fatigue, insomnia, improve the two groups were improved (P<0.05), and the treatment group than the control group (P <0.05); However, due tolactulose has cause bloating, vomiting and other side effects, it would not affect theassessment of abdominal distention, vomiting aspects need further validation.(3) Interms of long-term efficacy in the treatment group than the control group, thedifference was statistically significant (P <0.05);(4) The treatment group and thecontrol group of blood, urine, stool and liver and kidney function, etc. are nosignificant effect.Conclusion: Modified cistanche soup for the effective prescription treatment IBS-C(spleen deficiency type), can significantly improve the patient’s clinical signs andsymptoms, syndromes, and improve the quality of life of patients and significantlyshorter time control and treatment, reduce the cost of treatment, and good long-termefficacy, no adverse reactions.
