Clinical Study On Moxibustion Of Du Meridian Combining With Electro-acupuncture Treating Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy

Objective:The study tends to find out whether the treatment of moxibustion of Du Meridian comining with Electro-acupuncture for Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy(CSR) is effective, which can promote the clinical treatment of CSR.Methods:Admitted to a total of60cases of patients who meet the diagnostic criteria for CSR. According to the law of random, numbers were randomly divided into two groups, for the treatment group (group of moxibustion of Du Meridian comining with electro-acupuncture) and control group (group of electro-acupuncture) which are both of30patients. For the moxibustion of Du Meridian, Dazhui, Under the neck for2-6cervical spinous processes, Fengfu were chosen for mild moxibustion. For the Electro-acupuncture, Tianzhu, Dazhui, Cervical jiaji, Houxi were chosen with density waves,20minutes one times. Both groups were treatment1times a day,2days off after5times,10treatments for1course, and1total therapy treatments. Record and observe the scores of NPQ and VAS which evaluate the effeciency at0day,5days, one cause of the treatment.Results:1.Treatment group:1cases set off,29cases on observation; Control group:2cases set off,28cases on observation.2. General information analysis before treatment:gender, age, duration, the score of NPQ and VAS were of no significant differences between the two groups (P>0.05).3. After one course of the treatment, compared with the0day, there were signifieant different (P<0.05) in both groups of the scrores of NPQ and VAS.4. Record the scrores of NPQ:for the improvement of neck pain, arm radiation symptoms, carrying things, social activities and the rating percentage comparison of the treatment group were statistically different at the5days(P<0.05). Neck pain, arm radiation symptoms, daily continued time, reading and the watch TV, social activities, driving of treatment effect and the rating percentage comparison of the treatment group were statistically different after one course.5.Record the scores of VAS:the scrores of the treatment groupwere statistically different at the5days(P<0.05) and after scores and statistics.6. In terms of clinical statistics, the valid rate of treatment group was96.55%, and the control group of89.55%. The efficiency was statistically significant(P<0.05).7. In the course of study, no adverse events had happened.ConelusionThe treatment of moxibustion of Du Meridian comining with Electro-acupuncture for Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy can reduce the neck pain and arm radiation symptoms much more effectively than that of Electro-acupuncture. Meanwhile, the operation of the treatment is easy and not expensive, which can improve the qi and blood of the meridian, so that it can be widely apply for diffenent case clinically.
