The Clinical Study Of Qiju Dihuang Pill On Elderly Isolated Systolic Hypertension

ObjectiveThis study is expected) to use the TCM WM treatment in elder isolated systolic hypertension, combining the Qijudihuang pills and Amlodipine or Valsartan to treat the patients, observing the depressurization effects and improving the kidney function, clinic blood pressure, the tcm syndrome and the relevant laboratory testsand, and also providing clinical evidence for elderly isolated systolic hypertension treatment with combining TCM WM treatment, rich (enriching)the treatment of improving renal function in elderly patients isolated systolic hypertension patients.MethodsEighty patients have been chosen in this experiment. The elderly isolated systolic hypertension patients with yin-deficiency of both liver and kidney were observed in clinical trial for eight weeks, which randomly divided into two groups:forty cases (treatment group) in the original on the basis of TCM WM treatment, the addition of Qijudihuang pills. The other forty cases (control group) continued to western medicine treatment alone. Changes of clinic blood pressure,24hABPM, the tcm syndrome and renal function before and after treatment were observed. After that, all the data would be input into computer and use the statistical software SPSS13.0perform statistical analysis.Results1. Renal function (Serum cystatin C):After eight weeks’treatment, the treatment group can influence more on improving the renal function than the control group, efficacy was statistically significant (P<0.05).2. Symptoms improvement:After the treatment, the two groups can effectively improve the patients’clinical symptoms. The effective rate of two groups in traditional Chinese medicine symptoms were93.33%and60.00%respectively and showing statistical significant difference (P<0.05), that the enrich the kidney and nourish the liver of traditional Chinese medicine have improved significantly in patients with symptoms of the role.3.24h Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring:After eight weeks of treatment24hSBP、dSBP、nSBP and24hDBP、dDBP are decreased obviously in two groups (P<0.05). There was statistic significant difference on24hSBP、dSBP between the treatment group and control group(P<0.05), but there was no statistic significant difference on24hDBP、dDBP between two group(P>0.05). There was no statistic significant difference at nDBP between two groups (P>0.05).4. Antihypertensive efficacy:After eight weeks, the two groups could decrease blood pressure, but there is no statistic significance between the two groups.(P>0.05).EpilogueFrome the statistical evidence of the study, we draw a conclusion that, to combine the Qijudihuang pills with Antihypertensive can be more effectively improved the kidney function, clinic blood pressure, the tcm syndrome and the relevant laboratory tests. Therefore, TCM WM treatment is an effective treatment method for elderly isolated systolic hypertension patients.
