Elderly Patients With Isolated Systolic Hypertension In Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome Study On The Characters

Purpose: Through scientific investigation of fundamental TCM symptoms of elderly isolated systolic hypertension, data collection and quantitative research, statistical analysis is shown the characteristic of the TCM syndrome type. Based on our hospital survey of elderly patients with isolated systolic hypertension, we studied on the distribution law of TCM Syndrome in order to provide scientific basis for diagnosis, made excellent accomplishments on the TCM treatment .Method: By the application of epidemiological and Evidenced-based Medicine, from January 2008-2010, there were elderly patients with simple systolic hypertension 100 cases in the cardiovascular division Jilin province tcm hospital, and that male and female both are allowed, record: name, sex, age, TCM clinical symptoms, comprehensive tongue, pulse condition. we carry out the quantization and research on the symptoms, analyze the characteristics of TCM syndrome type and get the results.Result: 100 patients, men with 43 cases and women with 57 cases, minimum age 60, there can be divided into three TCM syndrome types: blood stagnation syndrome with both Qi and Yin deficiency ,heart liver, spleen and kidney deficiency,which blood stagnation syndrome with both Qi and Yin deficiency is at higher proportion and satisfied by the max-correlation with liver, spleen and kidney, occasionally with heart, the relevance to liver heart is lower ,and also blood deficiency is on a certain percentage.Conclusion: characteristic of distribution law on TCM symptoms of elderly isolated systolic hypertension is mainly deficiency, blood stasis and are different from hypertension syndromes, which blood pressure is on the increase at both cardiac diastolic and cardiac systolic.
