Objective: To investigate the application status of antiplatelet agents inischemic stroke (IS) patients in Liaoning province people’s hospital ofdifferent years and related factors of influence the drug use. Methods: This study is a retrospective case analysis. In department ofneurology in Liaoning province people’s hospital,2002,2005,2008,2011hospital patients with IS as the research object. Collect related clinical dataof patients, Including: sex, age, smoking history, hypertension, diabeteshistory, coronary heart disease history, dyslipidemia, previous strokehistory. Group: The same year for the same group of IS patients. Each yearof IS cases become the control each other. Results: Collected data integrity of648patients with acute IS. In2002to137, in2005to139, in2008to180, in2011to192. The average age, sexratio, smoking status, history of IS, coronary heart disease, hypertension, diabetes history, history of dyslipidemia of the4groups has no obviousdifference (P﹥0.05). The taking rate of antiplatelet agents in648cases ofIS patients during hospitalization is86.73%(562/648). Among those IS patients using antiplatelet agents,95.02%(534/562) was using Aspirin. Theantiplatelet agents taking rate was81.02%(111/137) in2002, taking ratewas82.01%(114/139) in2005, taking rate was88.33%(159/180) in2008,taking rate was92.71%(178/192) in2011. Antiplatelet agents taking rateincreased year by year. The comparison of antiplatelet agents taking rate ofeach group(81.02%VS82.01%VS88.33%VS92.71%), the difference wasstatistically significant (2=12.23, P<0.05). IS patients taking antiplateletagents are influenced by many factors. The taking rate of antiplatelet agentsin50to59age group was higher than60-69age group which was higherthan the70-79age group. The proportion of using antiplatelet agents in ISpatients combined with hypertension or dyslipidemia or previous strokehistory were significantly higher than IS patients without thosecomplications (P<0.05). Age(60-69age group, odds ratio[OR]2.44,95%confidence interval[CI]1.06-5.61;70-79age group, odds ratio[OR]2.14,95%confidence interval[CI]1.02-4.52), previous history of ischemicstroke(odds ratio[OR]1.69,95%confidence interval[CI]1.02-2.78) andhypertension disease (oddsratio [OR]2.02,95%confidence interval [CI]1.26-3.27)are independent predictors of taking antiplatelet agents inischemic stroke patients.Conclusion:1. The antiplatelet agents taking rate was still high in early ISpatients in department of neurology of Liaoning province people’s hospital, and increased year by year.2. IS patients taking antiplatelet agents are influenced by many factors, The taking rate of antiplatelet agents in50to59age group was higher than60-69age group which was higher than the70-79age group; The proportion of using antiplatelet agents in IS patientscombined with hypertension or dyslipidemis or previous stroke history weresignificantly higher than IS patients without those complications.3. Age,previous history of ischemic stroke and hypertension disease areindependent predictors of taking antiplatelet agents in ischemic strokepatients.
