Objective:To understand the situation of taking medicine in secondary prevention andreasons of withdrawal of patients with ischemic stroke at discharge, one month and oneyear after discharged and to analyse the reasons of affecting taking antithrombotic drugsand the recurrent ischemic stroke after one year,To provide a evidence for education andimplementation of secondary prevention of stroke. Methods:Through telephone follow-up,to obtain the information of taking drugs of secondary prevention, withdrawal reasons andthe situation of recurrent ischemic stroke after one year, using SPSS17.0statistical packagefor statistical analysis, P<0.05was statistically significant. Results:1.The rate of takingantihypertensive drugs in hypertensive patients at discharge, one month and one year afterdischarged were97%,96%and88.5%,respectively.The rate of one year after dischargedwith other groups were statistically significant (P<0.01).2.The rate of taking antidiabeticdrugs in Diabetes mellitus patients at discharge, one month and one year after dischargedwere95.9%,91.9%and79.7%,respectively,the rate at discharge and one year afterdischarged were significant difference (P<0.01).3.The rate of taking lipid-lowering drugsof patients with ischemic stroke at discharge, one month and one year after dischargedwere completely different (P<0.001),and were85.3%,72.8%and26.2%, respectively.4.The rate of taking antithrombotic drugs in patients with ischemic stroke at discharge, onemonth and one year after discharged were95.7%,92.8%and67.7%, respectively.the rateat one year after discharged with the remaining groups were statistically significant (P<0.001).5.In all the reasons, thinking no necessary to take medication is in the majority(31.1%~65.0%).6.Classification of stroke, place of residence and hypertension areinfluence factors to taking antithrombotic drugs in the patients with ischemic stroke.7.Therate of recurrent stroke in one year after discharged is accounted for18.39%,at their ownexpense, hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, discontinuing taking of antihypertensive drugs, discontinuing taking of antidiabetic agents, discontinuing taking of lipid loweringdrugs and antithrombotic drugs were risk factors of recurrent ischemic stroke.Conclusion:1. The rate of taking antihypertensive drugs, antidiabetic agents, antithrombotic drug andlipid-lowering drugs at one year after discharged is low, especially the lipid-loweringdrugs, there is still a big gap with the requirements in the guidelines.2. Transient ischemicattack, living in rural areas and none of hypertension are contributing factors todiscontinue taking antithrombotic drugs in patients with ischemic stroke.3.The rate ofrecurrent ischemic stroke at one year after discharged is accounted for18.39%,at theirown expense, hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, not taking antihypert-ensive drugs, nottaking hypoglycemic agents, and not taking lipid-lowering drugs and antithrombotic drugsare risk factors of recurrent ischemic stroke.
