An Analysis Of Prevalent Trend Of Prostate Cancer In Dalian City

[Objective] To study the epidemic trend and to describe the incidence of prostatecancer, the age of onset and death toll in Dalian City, and carries on the brief analysis.Our study would provided the basis for the screening and diagnosis of prostate cancer.[Method] Our object is the men with prostate cancer from1991to2010,participate in medical insurance for urban men with prostate cancer casesin Dalian City, including their age of onset and death cases and statisticalstudies, calculation of the mortality and morbidity, a standardized rate, average annualgrowth rate, and the percentage change of the variation in onset age. Itanalyses descriptive statistics and statistics on statistical software fordata comparison, including the overall trend of prostate cancer: the incidence ofprostate cancer of Male in Dalian city overall changes in1991to2010; centraltendency of age of onset; cause of mortality, the first reason of whose death is prostatecancer.[Results]1208cases of prostatic cancer newly occur from1991to2010, thestandardized incidence rate from1.7/10million in1991increased to5.1/10million in2010, the percentage of prostate cancer for male cancer rose from0.7%in1991to2.5%in2010;in our studies it will fix that: The middle age group is defined from70-79year old, the old age group is defined as more than79years old, the young ageis lower than70. It can be seen that the number of the high age group increasedsignificantly, while the incidence of low age group has a significant upward trend, thenumbers of the actual incidence and the proportion in middle group increased moresignificant than other groups, The changes of the numbers of male died of prostaticcaner as the first reason is not significant between2002-2012,the possible reason isthat the limited data we got only include the males attending the urban insurance inDalian.[Conclusion] The morbidity of prostate cancer increase greatly in recent10years.It maybe related with the factors below: the pollution of environment, thechanges of diet similar with the western, the growth of life expectancy, and so on. The proportion of low age group and middle age group is increased,so we can see, inthe trend of aging, the high age group the number of patients increased greatly, at thesame time the young tendency of prostate cancer is increasing. The tread that Prostatecancer mortality of Dalian city after standardization slow increase is not accord withthe tread which contradicts with the world trend of decreasing prostate cancermortality. Thus prostate cancer has become the most common malignanttumor threatening Dalian urban male life. But, it is not caused widespread concern andattention of Dalian medical system. We should strengthen citizen on prostate cancerimportance, earlier screening, earlier diagnosis and earlier treatment, in order to attachgreat importance to the prostate cancer. Medical institutions in Dalian Cityshould screening for prostate cancer, correctly identify high-risk groups to introduceadvanced technology and equipment, and the corresponding prostate cancerscreening for prostate cancer screening, at the same time as far as possible achieve tothe world standard.
