Objective: The project is aimed at Xining city in the elderly patients with kneeosteoarthritis pathogenesis (risk factors) research, through the investigation of Xining city actualcondition in elderly patients with KOA, using Logistic regression analysis, the risk factorsleading to screen in elderly KOA meaningful, ultimately determine the pathogenic mechanism ofKOA in the elderly. Provide information to study the pathogenic mechanism for the city ofXining in Qinghai province and even the whole knee osteoarthritis research, for the earlyprevention of elderly KOA KOA, scientific treatment, and decreased in the aged KOA incidenceand mutilation rate to have the vital significance.Method: Taking Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University as the basis of case, investigationof the time for the2011July to2013February, the investigation object to the Affiliated Hospitalof Qinghai University for treatment of300elderly (40years) patients, with age as matching,according to the case:1:1control design, develop a uniform questionnaire to fill out the survey,collect data, then use PSS17software conditional Logistic regression analysis of single factorand multiple factor conditional Logistic regression analysis of the clinical data, and according tothe analysis results were screened with older KOA variables, which can lead to dangerous elderlyosteoarthritis of the knee factors.Logistic Regression Analysis Results:(1) the results of single factor analysis: in elderlyKOA pathogenic mechanism and gender, obesity, education level, occupation, knee operationhistory, basic disease, often eat meat, swimming, smoking, family history, weight-bearing joints;(2) the results of multivariate analysis: in elderly KOA pathogenic mechanism with gender,obesity, around the knee operation history, basic diseases, joint bearing, eat meat, swimming,smoking, family history;(3) to eat beef and mutton, swimming is the protective factors of KOA;(4) female, obesity, around the knee operation history, basic diseases, joint bearing, smoking,family history are the risk factors of KOA;(5) no significant correlation between thepathogenesis and people aged KOA.Conculsion:(1) imaging was positively correlated with age, with the increase of age, theimaging manifestation of KOA is more and more heavy, K/L grade II, III and IV ratio increasedsignificantly, the K/L Ⅱ in all age groups are relatively high, grade Ⅲ in70~79ratio is thehighest, up to80years showed a downward trend.(2) in the range of the controllable factors,Logistic regression analysis shows that, in the urban area of Xining city with sex, the elderlyKOA obesity, around the knee operation history, basic diseases, joint bearing, eat meat, smoking,family history. Among them, eat meat, swimming is KOA protective factors; women, obesity, around the knee operation, underlying diseases, history of smoking, weight-bearing joints, familyhistory are the risk factors for KOA; no significant correlation between the pathogenesis andpeople aged KOA.(3) in the prevention and control of Xining city in the old KOA, advocate andencourage in elderly patients often eat beef and mutton, swimming, exercise, to avoid as much aspossible risk factors.
