The development of health care is related to the people’s quality of life and thecurrent health care reform proposed new requirements to health care services.Intoday’s highly competitive health care market environment,how hospitals win a placewill be a new major hospitals proposition. The Quanzhou First Hospital, founded in1936, is a first-class comprehensive hospital which has medical treatment, teaching,scientific research, rehabilitation and prevention health care. It’s service cover the3cities,4counties and surrounding areas in Quanzhou. The Quanzhou First Hospital’srapidly developement has made some social and economic benefits in recent years,and has achieved the advanced level of the municipal hospital, but compared with thebig general hospital, it’s also at a competitive disadvantage position.With the openingup of the city east hospital’s1000beds, the hospital was in new opportunities ofdevelopment, but the overall operation of two hospital supported a team are also putforward higher challenge to hospital management. How to comply with the nationalhealth care system reform during the period of twelfth five-year development trend,with the overall health of quanzhou city planning, grasp the development opportunity,make the healthy development of the hospital and better meet the health needs of thequanzhou people, become the important responsibility of the hospital managers.This paper use Six chapters to analyse the strategic choice and implementationprocess of quanzhou first hospital. First of all, reviews the research background,research methods and main contents, limitations of the research. Secondly, through tooverview of connotation, characteristics, principles and main strategic analysis toolsof strategic management, providing theoretical basis for follow-up studies. Thirdly,analyzed the macro environment of quanzhou first hospital from thepolitical,economic, social, cultural and technological four aspects, and analyzed theindustry competition environment used five model, obtained the result of thecurrently opportunities and threats which the hospital is facing now. Fourthly, throughthe analysis of the internal environment of quanzhou first hospital, obtained the resultof what advantages and disadvantages it has. Fifthly, according to the method of SWOT,extracted the SO, WO and other development strategies. At the same time,through evaluating and analyzing a variety of strategies, reach the conclusion of theappropriate development of the hospital’s strategic plan. Lastly, the article explainshow the various aspects of its strategy successfully implemented and how to evaluateand control.
