There are few reports about the application of tributyrin (TB) and oregano essential oil (OEO), as two kinds of potential alternatives to antibiotics in weaning piglets. Study on tributyrin and oregano essential oil added in together on weaning piglets have not been reported. This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary tributyrin and oregano essential oil on growth performances, blood indices, nutrient apparent digestibility and feacal microflora of weaning piglets, the results could provide a scientific basis for the addition of tributyrin and oregano essential oil. The experiments introduced 2×2 factorial designs, and based on 128 piglets wighted on (7.27±0.68) kg, all these piglets were randomly divided into 4 groups, each group with 4 parallel, each parallel with 4 repeat, each repeat with 8 piglets. The control group feed basic fodder, TB group feed based fodder+1kg/t TB, OEO group feed based fodder+lkg/t OEO, TB+OEO group feed based fodder+lkg/t TB+lkg/t OEO, the test cycle is 28 d. The results were as follows:(1) Compared with the control group, in the early stage of the test, OEO group could increase average daily gain significantly (p<0.05); In the later of the test, compared with the control group, TB+OEO group could significantly decrease feed/gain ratio (P<O.05). During the test period, compared with the control group, OEO group could increase average daily gain significantly (P<O.05), decrease the rate of diarrhea significantly (P<0.01); TB+OEO group could decrease feed/gain ratio and the rate of diarrhea significantly (P<O.05 and P<0.01). The main effect analysis showed that, there were no significantly interaction on TB and OEO effect the growth performance of weaning piglets (P>0.05). (2) Compared with the control group, there were no significant difference among 4 groups (P>0.05). The main effect analysis showed that, there had no significant interaction of TB and OEO in the blood index of weaning pigs (p>0.05). (3) Compared with the control group, TB+OEO group could increase the digestibility of fat significant (P<0.1), increase the digestibility of crude protein significant (P<O.05). The main effect analysis showed that, the addition of TB and OEO had no significant interaction on the digestibility of weaning pigs (P>0.05). (4) Compared with the control group, three test group could decrease Escherichia coli colonies significant (P<0.01);TB+OEO group could increase bifidobacterium colonies significant (P<0.05). The main effect analysis showed that, the addition of TB and OEO had no significant interaction on the microbial content in manure of weaning pigs (P>0.05). In conclusion, the addition of TB and OEO could increase weaning growth performance because of it could increase nutrient digestibility and improve the intestinal microbial environment to protecting intestinal health. The addition of TB and OEO had no significant interaction on weaning piglets.
