Problems And Countermeasures Of Jujube Industry In Linxian County

Chinese jujube with both effects of nutrition and health care is a major economic forest tree in a wide area of 24 Province in China. Linxian County in Shanxi Province was named ’hometown’of Chinese jujube by National Forestry Department because the jujube became the major crop of the county with 640 thousand mu jujube area in 2014 and continue to increase rapidly in area of 60 thousand every year. So the local government have jujube become mainstay industry and the crucial income of farmers. With the rapid development of jujube orchard area, problems appeared in terms of pest and disease control, fruit quality and process. These problems obviously limit the development of local traditional economy originated from jujube industry which related to the wealth of more than 300 thousand farmers. So it is most important to find the best solution for healthy development of jujube industry in Linxian County.The best suggestion and methods were given in this paper to promote healthy and rapid development of jujube industry in Linxian County so that benefit the whole Province depending on the careful investigation to pest and disease control, variety improvement, orchard management, investment and the way of jujube development in the past decades.
