The Investigation Analysis Of Material Consumption Of Wheat Production In Henan Province

Wheat is one of the most important grain crops in the world. It accounts for 30%size of cereal crops.Since the 21 st century, the mode of wheat production started to transform into Mechanization and information in the developed countries, that is to say, people have improved production efficiency with fewer inputs of labor.With focus on the technical investment and quality improvement, foreigners have got a continuous improvement in the biotechnology and planting technology during the process of regionalization and specialization of wheat production.On the contrary,there exist some problems in Chinese domestic production such as labor wastage and backward management system. In most areas in China, there is an issue about repetitive waste of investment of production element because of lacking of Scientific and reasonable collocation, which lead to be two problems--high cost of wheat production and low yields.In the past ten years, the degree of mechanization of wheat production has grown rapidly in Henan especially in several major wheat producing areas. More and more machineries are used to replace human labor, while level of mechanization in some areas is still low because of geographical factors.Soaring prices and high inputs,the costs of material consumption have been putting a burden on the farmers..In order to ensure national food security, reduce farmers’ burden and increase their incomes, I started by the farmers who plant wheat in different areas by questionnaire to collect datum from 2006 to 2013 about seed, fertilizer, pesticide,sowing, irrigation and harvesting in the process of wheat production in Henan,processing data by statistical methods, and finally get the datum of the average material consumption per acre in five different areas in Henan.By accurately grasping the information about the production of wheat from the data, it is figured out that the input in fertilizers, seeds and irrigation increase year after year, which brings burdens on farmers. On the basis of that, farmers’ investment on wheat-growing is known clearly. By research and analysis, the production of wheat in Henan province shouldbe mechanization and scientific, which means that gradually increasing investment in science and technology to reduce production costs and to increase the income.Accordingly, it is suggested that the government and society to give technical support and welfare subsidies to farmers in the aspect of large material consumption investment, and change the existing mode of wheat producing and material consumption investment distribution to increase the enthusiasm of farmers in growing grain.
