The quantitative and qualitative analysis was adopted by using the GIS technology,RSand spatial statistical analysis method to analyze spatial-temporal changes of regional foodproduction and water consumption in the North China. Based Statistical analysis GIStechnology and space.Use of statistical data, meteorological data, LUCC and remote sensingNDVI data which vegetation index to simulate spatial-temporal distribution of regional foodproduction and water consumption in the North China. To analysis limiting factor and thedevelopment direction of grain production, changes in the distribution of major food cropsactual irrigation water consumption. To provide a scientific basis for decision making toensure food security, excavate agricultural production potential,develope irrigation systems,water, the rational allocation of rational allocation of water resources.Use meteorological data, crop growth period, crop coefficient and remote sensing NDVIdata, reference soil moisture crop coefficient calcuiated by remote sensing of vegetation index,and calculate the actual water consumption of major food crops. TO analysis and study thespatial and temporal changes and the relationship with precipitation in nearly20years. Todetermine the actual amount of irrigation of the main crops in northern. Studies have shownthat the introduction of remote sensing NDVI method can better simulate actual waterconsumption of food crops in the region on the basis of the traditional method. According tothe results of the analysis, the main crops of North China actual water consumption in thetrend of down. Wherein the amount of water consumption of wheat and the total waterconsumption of the main food crops decreased significantly and the wheat crop is about50mm. In the view of the relationship between water consumption and precipitation, requiresa lot of irrigation areas in North China Plain,Northeast Plain, Ningxia,Loop area and Oasisagricultural area.
