The success of hybrid maize and hybrid rice cultivation,also pointed outthe direction for the future development of millet.Researcher Zhao Zhihai in ZhangjiakouAcademy of Agricultural began throwing open classic of three-line using the "quality ofthe nuclear interaction" sterile way at the beginning of the nineties of last century, firstresearch successly "millet light (temperature) sensitive infertility two-line,"solve the keytechnology of millet miscellaneous optimum utilization， breeding hybrid light andtemperature sensitive species and used in production.Yanshan, Taihang Mountain is a major production of cereals in Hebei province,Planting area of millet reached1800000Mu,millet cultivation of the nation’s of25percent,production of the nation’s of33percent, trade volume of the nation’s of50percent.as itsnutrient rich and reasonable proportion, the United Nations agriculture nutrition and HealthOrganization says:“grains are not yet fully understood and used, with the value of the cropspecific use”, so in the development of mountain area millet have good developmentprospects.Make a comparison between hybrid millet and millet,hybrid millet has more highyield potential.But in the promotion process in recent years, because the blind introduction,some areas have been encountered variety regional limitations and low yield, affect theenthusiasm of grain farmers to further grow, hybrid millet planting area layout is notreasonable,thus making promotion plan and arrange the priority order of regionaldevelopment has been very urgent.Using the method of Resource endowment coefficient and comparative advantageindex,from the aspects of resource advantages,efficiency advantage, scale advantagebeneficial advantage and comprehensive advantage, advantages of the hybrid millet yieldwere studied in the regions, i.e. Shijiazhuang, Xingtai, Baoding, Tangshan, Chengde,Zhangjiakou and Qinhuangdao.The results show that Zhangjiakou,Chengde and Xingtai areas take the relative dominance and belong to the prior regions in production of hybrid millet. Qinghuangdao,Baoding and Tangshan areas have developed rapidly in recent years and belong to thepotential regions although these areas had the relative disadvantages. And Shijiazhuang isabsolute inferiority and is not suitable for developing the planting of hybrid millet.Using the research results, Suggestions strategic recommendations for different areas:1.The priorregions:Vigorously develop the deep processing of hybrid millet, improve the added value ofproducts;Strengthening the construction of hybrid millet demonstration base, the development ofeconomies of scale;Support the leading enterprises, creating hybrid millet IOT;To extend the industrialchain, take the road of the brand.2.The potential regions:Increase scientific research strength, improvethe quality of hybrid millet;Make full use of demonstration and radiation effect of the largeplantations;Improve the quality of the peasants, guiding farmers to the scientific use of varieties ofhybrid millet;Establishment of breeding, propagation, push the promotion of integrated system.3.TheIndependent development regions:According to their own situation to independent development.4.Thefew planting area:The introduction of a suitable local development of varieties of hybridmillet;Strengthening the construction of Grass-roots agricultural technology service center, acceleratethe hybrid millet promotion work;To track the training and guidance to farmers.
