One hundred and twenty weaned piglets were allocated into4groups balanced for sex and weights,with3replicates each group and10piglets each replicate. The duration of the experiment was35days.Piglets in the4groups were fed with the following solutions: basal diet (control group), basal dietadding compound probiotics, basal diet adding fiber oligosaccharide, basal diet adding compoundprobiotics and fiber oligosaccharide. The doses of compound probiotics and fiber oligosaccharideswere0.30%and0.08%respectively.The results showed that feeding compound probiotics and fiberoligosaccharide simultaneously, decreased the ratio of feed to gain by16.41%(P<0.05)compared withcontrol group during the second stage of the test(15to35days).Feeding compound probiotics and (or)fiber oligosaccharide had no significant effects on the serum indexes compared with control group in thewhole experiment. However, feeding compound probiotics and fiber oligosaccharides significantlydecreased the rate of diarrhea of weaned piglets. During the first stage of the experiment (0to14days),the diarrhea rates of feeding compound probiotics and compound probiotics combined fiberoligosaccharide were decreased by75.87%(P<0.05)and67.28%(P<0.05)compared with the controlgroup.
