Guided by the Chinese Medicine theories and the classical proportion of prescription, high incidence and biggest harm of cow postpartum diseases were studied in the experiment.The author has invented a new Chinese herbal medicine by new technology—Thetraditional Chinese herbal medicine compound tablets,which can aim at preventing and protecting the postpartum diseases of cows.This pharmaceutical preparations which can improve the cow body immunity effectively have small doses,little tocicity and carry easily. This thesis covers the following aspects:proceeding the research of the making process ofthe traditionalChinese herbal medicine compound tablets, studying the quality standard, estimating the stability and security of the tables,monitoring the immunized antibody levels and the the clinical application. During the research, the author has done enormous amount of experiments and drawn the main conclusions as following:1.Based on the classical clinical prescription,the main formula of the tablets were composed of codonopsis radix,astragalus radix,angelicae sinensis radix,salvia miltiorrhizae radix et rhizoma,lyciifructus,ganoderma,paeoniae radix alba,leonuri herba,violae herba,zingiberis rhizome,and glycyrrhizae radix et rhizoma praeparata cummelle.The researcher chosed the excipients through the Orthogonal test to optimize the preparation of the prescription and preparation. The results showed that the main formula of the tablets were 50 percent powder,20 percent pregelatinized starch,15 percent microcrystalline cellulose,5 percent dextrin,2 percent aerosol,1.5 percent sodium carboxymethyl cellulose,0.3 percent magnesium stearatate,and 0.2 percent lauryl sodium sulfate. The tablets were made in this way which is moist pellet granulation,using the 3% of PVPK30absoluteethylalcohol as the wetting agent, then spraying and wetting the granulation. The results of all confirming experiments wereup to standard in accordance with the requirements of the PRC veterinary Pharmacopoeia, whichproved that the preparation process was feasible.2.The researcher tested the physical characteristics of the traditional compound Chinese medicine tablets in three ways,including the appearance, the time imiter of disintegration, the detection of dispersion and all of the results conformed the requirement of pharmacopoeia.In addition,according to the first method is TLC of the main components of the new medicine, namely:leonuri herba, lyciifructus,violae herba, angelicae sinensis radix, paeoniae radix alba, ganoderma,etc.The result showed that the experimental sample,the reference substance and the new medicine sample have the same spots at the same positions.According to the HPLC,the average proportion of stachydrine hydrochloridewas 2.3910mg/gapproximately.The results of the quality index inspecting method and the quality checking confirmed up to standard that the compound tablets were stable in quality control by the regulations of PRC veterinary Pharmacopoeia.3.In order to evaluate the applied reliability and ascertain the toxicity of the traditional Chinese herbal compound medicine tablets,the experiment of acute toxicity and the determination of LD50 of the traditional Chinese herbal compound medicine tablets was conducted in mice with different doses.The result showed that the LD50 of traditional Chinese herbal compound medicine tablets was 42884mg per kg weight, and the 95 percent confidence interval was from 35222.77 to 50545.23 mg per kg weight. According to the toxicological evaluation standard, the medicine belongs to the non-toxic matter,the results confirmed that the self-made traditional Chinese herbal compound tablets was safe and non-toxic,and it can use security in clinical practice.4. By using thetraditional compound Chinese medicine tablets,we monitored and detected a variety of indicators for the the postpartum diseases of cows.The result showed that the antibody immune levels of the experimental group increased more significantly than the blank control group(P<0.05).According to the statistical record,the incidence of postpartum dairy cows in the afterbirth stranded of the experimental group was reduced by 50%,the lochia drainage net days of the postpartum cows in the experimental group was earlier than in the blank control group by 1.3 days.The feedback rate of the postpartum cows in the experimental group was higher than in the blank control group by 10%.The onset of dairy cow mastitis capita decreased obviously, its morbidity reduced by 17.9% and the treatment effective rate was 75%.In addition,the probability of the endometritis cows was reduced by 16.7% and the treatment effective rate was 66.7%.The probability of fetal membranes cows decresed by 23.3% and the treatment efficiency was as high as 83.3%.The results showed thatthetraditional compound Chinese medicine tablets can improve the body’s immunity effectively and accelerate the recovery of the function of postpartum cows.In conclusion,the traditional compound Chinese medicine tablets can play an important role in the treatment and health care function in the poastpartum diseases cows.
