| The purpose of the experiment is studing the preventive function and mechanism of Changpu Longgu Powder on chicken immune stress induced by LPS, then selects the best composition and provides the theoretical basis for chicken immune stress in clinic prevention and treatment. In this study, 180 healthy chickens were randomly divided into six groups of 30 animals each. Group A and B were negative and positive controls respectively, receving basic ration, followed by 1ml of normal saline or LPS intraperitoneally(i.p) respectively. Group C-F received basis ration added Qishen Powder, Baizhu Fuling Powder, Changpu Longgu Powder, Chlorpromazine respectively and 1ml LPS i.p. Basal diets were feed for 7 days beginning at the age of seven. Intraperitoneally injections were given at age 14, 16, 18, 20. The dosage of LPS is 1600 μg/kg(BW).At age 14, 21, 28, 35, body weight was measured, blood and serum were collected. The number of erythrocytes and leukocytes and blood parameters were determined and compared. The weight of thymus, spleen and bursa of Fabricius were measured to calculate immune organ index. Otherwise, bursa Fabricius were taken for making paraffin sections, HE stain, observed and photographed. The results indicate that Baizhu Fuling Powder, Changpu Longgu Powder and Chlorpromazine can effectively prevent the decrease of chicken performance and the total protein and albumen in blood serumcaused by immune stress. The effect of Changpu Longgu Powder was the best of the three, it aslo was the best one to prevent the increase of IL-1、IL-6 in serun induced by immnue stress than others. Baizhu Fuling Powder and Changpu Long Powder have preventive effets on the increase of Ig A、Ig M、Ig G and corticosterone in serum caused by immune stress.Above all, Changpu Longgu Powder has the best preventive effect on chicken immune stress. It provides the theoretical foundation for application of feed additives in poultry husbandry. |
