Objective:According to determine the contents of main active ingredients of gardenia from different regions,combined with variety of different origin trace elements in gardenia leaf,soil,irrigation water and ph value,as well as to the comparison of different origin gardenia growth conditions,study the feasibility of cultivation gardenia.Methods:Flame atomic absorption spectrometry and atomic fluorescence spectrometry were used to determine the contents of Fe,Mn,Zn and Se in the leaf,oil and irrigation water of Fructus Gardeniae;Monitor various meteorological data,such as temperature,precipitation and sunshine time of different origins;HPLC was used to determine the contents of geniposide,crocinⅠ,and ursolic acid in the fruit ripe of Fructus Gardeniae.Results:Different regions(Bazhong, Hubei, Jiangjin, Jiangxi, Naxi and Luxian)of gardenia cultivated soil, the content of Fe is 30.80, 28.15, 31.10,35.85,26.93,14.00 mg·kg-1 respectively,the content of Mn is 543.33,683.20,557.25,196.25,136.23,73.95 mg·kg-1 respectively,the content of Zn is 88.05,53.90,85.80,70.45,47.53,42.45 mg·kg-1 respectively, the content of Se is 0.08,0.10,0.10,0.23,0.22,0.34 mg·kg-1 respectively.In the gardenia leaf,the content of Fe is 640.50, 366.00, 1246.90, 666.90, 343.20,456.80 mg·kg-1 respectively,the content of Mn is 61.90, 35.70, 70.40,99.80, 70.04,78.32 mg·kg-1 respectively,the content of Zn is 21.70, 18.30,37.60,40.95,38.80,41.30 mg·kg-1 respectively, the content of Se is0.09,0.09,0.10,0.10,0.09,0.10 mg·kg-1 respectively.In the irrigation water,the content of Fe is 0, 0.0280, 0.0770, 0.0250, 0.1000, 0.0140 mg·L-1respectively, the content of Mn is 0.0022,0,0.0160,0.0282, 0.0083, 0.1400mg·L-1 respectively, the content of Zn is 0.4500, 0.0510, 0.1600,0.4875,0.1400,0.3900 mg·L-1 respectively, and there is no Se detected.The trace element Mn content of Bazhong Hubei and Jiangjin gardenia in cultivation soil is significantly higher than in Jiangxi Naxi and Luxian.The results show that the single trace elements in the gardenia leaves have a little impact to the main effective ingredient content of gardenia,it is comprehensive effec of a variety of trace elements which have more influence.The quantitative change rule between the main effective components and trace elements in the leaves of Gardenia is as follows.The Four Yuan linear regression equation between the contents of geniposide(Y1), crocinⅠ(Y2),and ursolic acid(Y3) with the contents of Fe(X1),Mn(X2),Zn(X3) and Se(X4) is Y1 = 0.004388X1 + 0.502989X2-2.93243X3+238.0027X4+111.6526(r=0.9999),Y2=0.012063X1+0.188205X2-0.27615X3-1264.26X4 +115.6468(r=0.9999),and Y3 = 0.000109X1 +0.006743X2-0.01575X3-5.89572X4+0.942369(r=0.9999),the linear relationship is good in the range of Fe 343.20-124 6.90 mg·kg-1, Mn35.70-99.80mg·kg-1,Zn 18.30-40.95mg·kg-1,and Se 0.09- 0.10 mg·kg-1.From the above mathematical model of quantitative relationship we can predict the content of the main effective components in gardenia fruit more accurately according to the content of trace elements in the leaves.The cultivated soil,irrigation water p H value,the monthly average temperature,sunshine time and precipitation from different regions have certain difference.The sunshine time of Hubei and Jiangxi is obvious more than Bazhong,Jiangjin,Naxi and Luxian.Rainfall difference is not big except Jiangxi.Conclusion:The contents of geniposide, crocinⅠ, and ursolic acid can be calculated by the contents of Fe, Mn, Zn and Se in Fructus Gardeniae fairly accurately.We can conclude preliminarily that Naxi and Luxian where cultivated soil, irrigation water ph and climate factors is very close to each other can introduction high-quality gardenia such as Bazhong production,etc.Let the gardenia introduction cultivation research related personnel obtain the information about the quality of cultivation gardenia before at least six months ago.And then they can decide whether to promote the cultivation large area.As a result we can reduce the blindness of cultivation of gardenia,avoiding the waste of manpower,material and financial resources.It can provide a strong basis for the quality of cultivated Fructus Gardeniae prediction scientifically.
